The Aloft Detroit is a beautiful hotel! Everyone was so nice & very professional, so friendly and very helpful. They made you feel very special. It is in a great location, right across from Tiger Stadium & Ford Field, and only 1/2 mile from Little Caesars Arena. Lots of great restaurants withing walking distance. The rooms were very nice, exceptionally clean and the beds were so comfortable. Will absolutely be staying at the Aloft again!

This hotel immediately makes you feel enriched in its history as soon as you walk in to the historic David Whitney building. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with an absolutely amazing view of the city. To our delight, Guest services at this hotel are excellent! Detroit’s “Grand Hotel”, per Kolby indeed! Shoutout to Kolby and the rest of the front desk staff. He recommended Hudson Cafe for my wife & I for a hearty breakfast/brunch. Up and down this hotel is top notch, you will not regret staying here.

My husband and I have stayed at the Whitney at least 20 times—it’s our favorite Detroit hotel! During our last visit the concierge, Desmon, went above and beyond and took care of us every step of the way. He even surprised us by giving us one of the torn down photographs that used to hang in the hotel before it was remodeled! We can’t say enough about this beautiful hotel and the great service we always receive!

The hotel is simply stunning. They have done a fantastic job of remodeling. It is truly a classic. The room was a suite and was perfect. Classic appointments, comfortable and welcoming.
The staff was also incredible. The bartender in the lobby bar, Evette, was very friendly and welcoming. Top notch employee. Desmond at the front desk was very helpful with great dining recommendations within walking distance. This was one of the best experiences I can remember in all my business travel.
The one negative that prevented a 5 star review is that they are finishing the remodeling so there was a bit of noise in the daytime hours as they finish the work.

They are still completing some construction and breakfast currently isn’t available on property. Otherwise, a very nice hotel with good service. Well located in central downtown Detroit within easy walking distance to most stadiums and attractions.

The newley updated hotel was great. Clean rooms, very clean lobby and elevators. The front desk was dressed impeccably. Kolby helped with a later check out and was great to work with. I will be coming back here. Thank you for a great experience.

We decided to stay here because it's close to The Filmore and we were here to see a concert. We stayed two nights to enjoy the city the weekend before NFL draft and let me say the D is looking great. From the time we checked in the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Anthony helped us unload the car and was very attentive all the way to the room. Kolby at the front desk was professional, helpful and also very friendly. The suite was so much more than we anticipated. We literally live 25 minutes from here but like to come and be city folk from time to time. We will be back as this feels like home away from home. Thank you for the great experience!

My husband and I had a date night in Detroit and stayed the night at the David Whitney hotel. It was a fantastic experience made even better by Desmon at the front desk! We got an upgrade and complimentary cocktails, and lots of recommendations for nightlife and breakfast in Detroit. Desmon was very professional and we really felt taken care of. Hotel room was very nice- comfortable bed and pillows, very clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely go back!
