Pros: nice beach shortcoming: 1. Noisy, very noisy! ! ! The hotel didn't remind us when we checked in that there was a party in the evening during our check-in time. The DJ screamed so loudly in the middle of the night that our hearts ached. We measured the decibel level and it was already at the noise level. We contacted the hotel several times to change rooms but got no response. Finally, they sent a waiter. I was told that I could change rooms, but when I went there it was still very noisy, so I had to endure it until the party was over. It was only eight o'clock the next day, and there was the noise of an Indian wedding again! ! ! 2. The service is very poor. Because it was too noisy on the first night and I didn't get a good rest, I had a fever the next day and asked the hotel to find a thermometer, or send someone to buy one for us to pay for. The hotel curtly responded that they could look for it, but they didn't inform us whether they had a thermometer until we checked out. , and other services also responded very slowly. 3. The food is not good. The hotel buffet is basically Indian food, various curries and purees, which are very salty. I don’t know if it’s because more than half of the hotel guests are Indians. 4. The room facilities are old, the bedding is old, and it doesn’t look very clean.

We were given a lower grade room than we had paid for and he’d to move twice before we got the correct one . They were aware this had happened but did not tell us until we complained. Food is good , however if you do not like Indian cuisine your choices will be limited. Wine on the all inclusive is poor. staff are brilliant , management not so much . Annoying that you cannot go for a walk on the beach without getting swamped by beach sellers.

Wonderful hotel - great location and also the facilities are great. The only issue is when the hotel is full - there are insufficient Beach towels. it doesn't help that most people take more than expected ie 3/4 more per person rather than one per person. We had to wait the whole day to get a clean towel. ( speaking to other guests - they collected their towels @ 7.30am or the night before...) . Would recommend that management bring in a CARD system for beach towels so that everyone has an equal allocation( when it is not full you can revert to the current system. ) Guest relations ( Marcia) is amazing and recommend speaking to her about anything local. She can advise you and help whenever possible. the biggest positive is the FOOD - it was amazing and the freshest of the cooking was visibly seen. the bar was quick to respond to drinks orders. the only issue is the amount of paperwork they need as most guests are on All- inclusive yet it was requested that the room number be given every time you ordered a drink. Perhaps management can review this? let the staff see the BANDS to decide which needs food orders or not

Diane beach is a gem. The locals are extremely friendly. The pool is large and very accommodating, always clean as well. Buffet was good, the menu changes daily. Very friendly staff, fun night time entertainment. Snorkeling in the open beach was my highlight 🏝🌴

Wow value for money. Pools amazing, rooms renovated really nice; and food selection tasty. I’ve stayed a number of resorts on Diani but this now is best for value for money. Beach access great and our beach view apartment was superb. Well done to the renovators

Poor Management and non motivated staff. I stayed here with my family - spouse and 4 kids, for three nights. It was my first experience in the hotel, I'd stayed at other hotels in Diani and wanted to try this one. During check in, the rooms were not ready until after 3pm. One room was ready after 4pm. The dining experience was below expectations, no one seats you at a table, no one attends to your table, for all the times we dined there, about 7 times, we literally had to wait over 10min before anyone can attend to the table, other times you'd call a waiter and they'd just ignore you. We complained severally and eventually gave up and learnt to work around it. The plus side, it has one of the best vegetarian meals I've eaten and good variety on the meals. Nice pools and restaurants.

I'm currently staying at the Southern Palms Resort with my friend and looking forward to checking out tomorrow. The resort itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room is comfortable and offers a stunning view of the ocean, making for a perfect backdrop to unwind. However, we did encounter a few challenges during our stay. On our first day, during lunch at the main restaurant, we were met with a particularly rude staff member named Lilian. When we didn't have a seat, she said, "Nangoja mkae ndo nimchukulie order," and was not willing to assist us. Thankfully, a gentleman named Emmanuel stepped in to assist and was very nice to us, ensuring we were well taken care of. His helpfulness and positive attitude were greatly appreciated. To add to this, our experience at the ice cream station later that day was also disappointing. Another lady was there, and she kept us waiting for an unreasonable amount of time and was quite rude. Additionally, we had a negative encounter with Vivian during the evening entertainment. She shouted at us, saying, "Msikanyake apo iyo kitu ni expensive," which was embarrassing and not the kind of treatment we expected. Fortunately, these issues were swiftly addressed thanks to the intervention of the supervisor, Collins. His approach to customer service was exemplary. Collins was incredibly friendly and hospitable, especially during our meals at the Manyatta Restaurant. His positive attitude and professionalism turned our stay around and made it truly enjoyable. Collins is a fantastic role model, and I believe other staff members at Southern Palms could greatly benefit from following his example. Overall, while there were some hiccups, the resolution provided by Collins made our stay memorable in a positive way. Despite the initial issues, we will leave with fond memories thanks to the wonderful service provided by Collins and Emmanuel. I would recommend the Southern Palms Resort, with the hope that they continue to improve their service standards across the board.
