"The Mombasa M6 room was really terrible. The shower temperature was not regulated and it kept burning my skin. The air in the room had so much particles, I kept coughing through the night. The towels were all worn out. Compared to my experience in the Bustani Junior Suite, room quality was miles apart. Facilities in the M6 room was outdated and old. Buffet service for breakfast was largely the same and not exciting. And some of the staff definitely need a refresher training on service particularly Sylvester the water sports guy"

"The whole resort staff are very friendly and nice. The breakfast and dinner are really good with a wide variety of choices . However , the rooms and amenities need a bit of refurnishing as it starts to see slightly dated. The toilet needs to be cleaner as there seems to be some hard white spots appearing on the levers. The entertainment room also needs to be maintained. Overall , we still had a good stay nevertheless"

"Tombo House immediately feels like a hidden tropical sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, Nora and Daniel welcomed us with a level of warmth and authenticity that instantly sets this place apart. The whole property is quiet, green, beautifully maintained and full of small details that show how much love has gone into creating it. - Rooms & Balconies - Our apartment was modern, spotless and far more refined than we expected. Everything is mosquito-safe and well designed, and the large balcony overlooking the treetops was one of our favorite places to start the day. Watching monkeys move through the branches while having our morning coffee was simply amazing. - Pool & Outdoor Areas - The natural pool is peaceful and beautifully integrated into the garden. It’s the kind of place where you can lose track of time without even trying. A few monkeys may try to grab your snacks when you’re in the water, but it just adds to the charm of being surrounded by wildlife. - Food & Breakfast - Breakfast was a highlight, freshly prepared and lovingly presented. I was completely surprised to find quail eggs on the menu. When I asked if I could try a fried quail egg, the answer was, “Let me check if the quails laid some.” Knowing that so much of the food is homegrown or freshly collected makes the experience feel even more special. And although the place is listed as a B&B, the food served throughout the day easily reaches full restaurant quality. - Hosts & Service - Nora and Daniel are wonderful hosts who genuinely care about their guests, and their team is just as friendly and supportive. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal without ever feeling intrusive. Their warmth elevates the entire experience. - Location - Tombo House is not directly on the beach, which makes it wonderfully calm and peaceful. A tuktuk arrives within seconds and takes you to the ocean in just a couple of minutes, so the location never feels inconvenient. We stayed in several places during our Kenya trip, and Tombo House is by far the most charming, clean and lovingly designed. A true gem in Diani and an easy recommendation."
