Djerba Golf Resort & Spa

we have just returned from Djerba with very pleasant memories of this holiday, the resort has a very beautiful structure in Arabic style, with a beautiful swimming pool and the beach can be reached with a walk, the abundant breakfast for all tastes, the varied food and the highlight were the fantastic desserts!!!! we made two excursions with Abdullah from the hotel who immediately welcomed us with kindness, one with quods to the salt lagoon where we saw a spectacular sunset, my son had a lot of fun and the equally nice camel ride with return on horseback to the beach...the sea in the morning is very beautiful especially when it is low tide and a ***** of sand is formed surrounded by transparent water, in the afternoon with high tide and the comings and goings of camels on the beach becomes a little dirtier... soft but not intrusive entertainment, where they organize games and activities, we were very satisfied

The hotel is very beautiful with a welcoming hall in typical Tunisian style. Large dining areas, in addition to the basic one there is also a pizzeria, a typical restaurant and one on the beach where pizza is baked for an hour mid-morning. Great room for improvement for the hotel but the spa/massage center and swimming pool are also very appreciable. It's a shame about the rooms which, with a little more attention and maintenance, would be excellent. But the real difference during the stay is made by the Valtur entertainment and I want to give credit to those responsible. Tournaments of different sports are organized every day to give everyone the opportunity to participate. Thanks to the manager Lorenzo Claudi, a special guy who took care of us throughout our stay and always involved us in every type of activity. Valentina who takes care of Valturland is also fantastic and manages to entertain adults and children during the baby dance. Thanks also to Vittoria who welcomed us from the airport and made sure every day that everything was going smoothly. At the head of these fantastic guys is the head entertainer Giovanni, a very nice guy who hosts (but not only) the shows and entertains the audience every evening. The icing on the cake is the presence of manager Raffo: friendly, kind, funny... unique!

Previous reviews have been really positive. I have been traveling for almost thirty years and it is the first time that the coveted destination becomes a nigh**are, by booking with Valtur, you think that some standards are guaranteed! That's not how VALTUR remains a mere pictogram, a brand and that's it, NICOLAUS who bought it should be careful with his choices, so it remains a decoy... STRUCTURE: old but passable, except for the rooms which are in a pitiful state , cleaning 5, we found two cockroaches in one week; The owner of the structure lives in the resort 24 hours a day, controlling his interests i.e. saving with our pockets, at midnight the electricity is turned off and you can no longer find water to drink, you can't even buy it because it's time to sleep, he decides, as animation management; fills the resort to the maximum, not increasing the infrastructure. RESTAURANT: The first week no barbecue, mediocre food, absence of the Italian chef from 4 to 10 September; the cutlery and plates ran out and were never enough, that's why the staff continually cleared the table and you had to set the table yourself, the placemats used those previously used by the other diners, they were never cleaned, like the table anyway; the staff were hostile and didn't listen to you in the slightest, they were even satisfied when you set yourself up independently and said that we left the tips; the second week from the 11th to the 17th the outdoor barbecue woke up and the food improved slightly, but you never found the tables set; When you left the restaurant you had to race to grab the chairs because there weren't enough and so you either had to stand or on the sun loungers by the pool or fight to grab a chair, absurd. VALTUR ASSISTANCE The two really good girls were the only ones who worked in complete disorganization. ENTERTAINMENT Non-existent the first week, mediocre the second; you only saw the entertainment chief in the evening in the little shows, never on daytime, the big absentee..... and to say that his role is one of the most important, the rest of the guys are good but without a guide, they never say hello, they don't they share with the guests, in the evening at the entrance of the restaurant sometimes there were and sometimes not, the two singers were very good, very professional, another boy also sang but I think it is definitely not his primary profession. I simply made a mistake in not listening to the negative reviews! Air conditioning absent or very weak, the resort staff kept opening the grills, without knowing what to do. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, dogs, camels, horses are free on the beach and carry out their needs freely on the shoreline, so you will bathe in excrement! The dogs lie down on the beds and if you get close they growl at you. Excellent kitchen and service staff in the rooms, very good cuisine, spacious rooms, acceptable swimming pool, because more than half is too high and unused! Insufficient sunbeds and umbrellas both on the beach and at the pool. We were unlucky and found a week of sea****, through no one's fault. Well what can I say, a week is always too little. The structure itself is very beautiful, the only flaw is the limited places on the beach and the quality of the food is not exactly excellent but still good. The strong point is the Valtur animation, really good despite their young age, they are very prepared and expert in doing their "job". The top is Mister Raffo who with his preparation gave life to some truly beautiful shows. But applause goes to all the guys, I don't remember their names, for the passion they transmit and for the enormous sacrifice they make. Thank you

We booked a room for three adults. We found ourselves in a room for two people with a small bed for teenagers in a corner of the room, no way to get anything else from the management, no effort from them. So we decided to camp with the suitcases as a cupboard on the ground. So not very comfortable. Regarding the hotel, the exteriors are rather pleasant. The beach is full of rubbish and algae not always collected so there are unpleasant odors at times friendly staff. The restaurant looks more like a very low-end canteen. Wine is drinkable. I therefore advise not to book in this hotel.

The only positive thing was the excursions, the rest was a waste of money. Old structure, poorly maintained and poorly managed. The room passed off as superior, was a classic one with parquet; the shower latch held in place with a hair elastic. Towels counted as toilet paper (had to ask at the reception).. The beach towels were microscopic and perforated with a deposit of 10 euros each on arrival, changed only 2 times in a week. The food was poorly cooked, recycled and always the same, only the pasta was a little edible, not to mention the desserts... for goodness sake. Queues for food that aren't even in the canteen. The mid-day snacks are counted and with total assault... at a very low level. The sunbeds were already occupied at 7am by those who then went back up to the structure and then calmly went down (we go down to the sea early) with the connivance and tip of those who should watch and manage the beach. We often took the mattresses for the sunbeds ourselves because they were quite annoyed and pretended not to see. Dirty beach, full of stray dogs that pooped everywhere and upon request to remove it they replied that the sea would take care of it😔. Horses and dromedaries that were constantly passing by to be rented with excrement bases left by street vendors. Disgusting. The staff both at the beach bar and on the premises were rude (they made me remove my bag badly from the table because they had to put the price brochure) and annoyed in serving the drinks (as hot as the water dispenser), considering the almost 40 degrees with one plastic cup at a time you don't quench your thirst much. When the complaints were made, the Valtur staff did not seem to me to be very positional (the dogs are the fault of the holidaymakers who feed them, but I saw and photographed them laughing together with those who did it) in fact I felt quite taken for a ride.

I am holidaying at the property week 4/9-11/9 2023, dated structure rooms with furnishings that are at least 30 years old bathrooms with tub and plastic curtain, the Achilles heel is the complete lack of deckchairs by the pool and chairs and tables outside 'open A REALLY INDECENT THING!!!

Very good stay with a friend. Overall very pleasant staff, clean and comfortable hotel room, restaurant with choice and very good, very beautiful swimming pool, clean, large, clean beach (a few hundred meters via a small private path)… what more could you ask for? The spa gave us quality massages. I highly recommend this hotel, which is very good value for money.
