Dona Paula Hotels with Bars

1) Room ambience not a 5 Star worthy and definitely not a Taj property worthy. 2) Bathroom too small to accommodate a shower, a sink and a bathtub together. Looks very old and gloomy with some cracked tiles giving a look of some regular 3 star hotel. Bath is and shower and two ends with no hand held shower fitting provided in it, one has to go all the way to shower for cleaning. 3) Balcony too small for a family room and can accommodate only one chair. No point squeezing it just to spare some space for a bathtub ( I guess). Looks like creating an option to charge more for providing a balcony and bathtubs and both eventually not serving the purpose. 4) Food was my biggest disappointment after all Taj has to be the best but even basics looked shaky. Some dish had more salt and some had less. I can understand that spices are kept to a lower level to accommodate international guests but I am too a customer for Taj and expects a more than, better than a familiar taste. Even the variety was too little with no big change in breakfast menu. Even the drink menu was same for all 3 mornings. I had to take dinner at Taj Horizon finally, I was happy that I took dinner there and found what I was looking for in a Taj property. Overall, my expected lifetime experience with my first Taj resort booking turned out to be a pretty disappointing affair.
