Lough Eske is a beautiful castle, located in a rural area with lovely staff. There is quite a bit of construction going on but it didn’t negatively impact our visit. Delicious food, good drinks and really enjoyed the thermal suite.

What marks out a really good hotel is how they react when something is not quite right. This is a really good hotel, our room had a noise issue which kept us awake,I mentioned it to reception on the way to breakfast and Karen arranged a move to a most lovely garden suite for our second night, silent it most certainly was. The staff, grounds and spa are the stars, a lovely big pool absent noisy children was delightful and there are numerous seating areas outside and in to sit and enjoy everything. Dinner was very modern and beautifully presented, we will return.

Lough Eske was the perfect respite on a rapid paced tour of Ireland. We were able to slow our pace and relax and recharge for 24 hours. The staff was welcoming and the property is stunning. We had a great afternoon relaxing at the spa and had top-notch massages. We spent the evening relaxing at the bar and got up the next day with tons of energy to continue our journey. Next time we'll stay a bit longer.

We will be talking about it for years. Mom said one of her best meals ever. Kids loved the robes that fit them. Pool Was amazing. Staff went out of their way to make everything perfect.

We love Lough Eske Castle Hotel and our review here covers both our second stay this month and our previous stay. The hotel staff are very friendly, attentive and professional and they went out of their way to welcome us and to make us feel at home. We found our room on both stays to be extremely spacious and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and we were hugely impressed with the standard of the food and the attentiveness, friendliness and expertise of the wonderful staff. The hotel is situated in very pleasant grounds and countryside and it has a terrific ambience. We would highly recommend Lough Eske Castle and we will be back again.

Recently stayed here 1st time 2 nights. Not really centrally located must take several dark roads many filled with potholes and some unsafe road conditions to drive back-and-forth to the center of town were the pubs and restaurants are. Had to take a taxi back-and-forth to town even though it's less than three or 4 miles they charge you $15 euro each way which comes out of 17 or 18 American US
Cleanliness of the room needed a lot to be desired rug was dirty and they didn't refill the soaps or things that were necessary. After my first night things were not replenished they charged a fortune to have my laundry done almost 3, American dollars to wash a pair of underwear and shirt you up to $ 5. Staff in the breakfast we're probably one of the best, the hostess, especially she got it !!! the front desk staff seem to be not experienced, and management didn't seem to be able to watch over them , when you called from your room with simple requests , the phone rang and rang unanswered and rang and rang. . Over priced with construction going on during my stay, even though they said, there wouldn't be see the pictures, also even though the parking was convenient and I believe free, still you had to lug your own luggage across the field and stone patios to get to your car not worth it stay in town if you can.

Beautiful castle in a lovely location close to Donegal Town. The property is exactly as pictured. Staff is friendly and gave excellent recommendations.
