We were impressed with this hotel. The rooms were comfortable with nice bedding and linens. The breakfast is very good (except the coffee) and the restaurant is a fine choice for dinner, although there are other options nearby. But the real STARS of this hotel are the staff. They were lovely. Jude at reception was professional and friendly and went out of his way to help us. Emmanuelle gave us good tips for our one day off work. The nice trainer in the gym -- I forgot his name -- gave us good advice for using weights. We will be back!

Of all the hotels my family and I stayed at, in Cameroon, this was BY FAR THE BEST! Location, views, comfort—AMAZING. The bedding was comfortable and CLEAN. Other hotels have a lot to learn about cleanliness, and I say that as someone living in the U.S. Whenever I return to Douala, I will definitely stay here, again.

Exemplary courtesy of the staff. Staff available, makes suggestions, offers alternative solutions (reception, restaurant, room), assists spontaneously. Absolutely to be encouraged. 3 weeks of testing and satisfied.

While I was gone, the cleaning lady went through my things and stole money. I reported the matter to a member of the hotel management who made me believe in a serious investigation only to finally say that he saw nothing on the videos in the corridor. No confrontation took place with the person who did the cleaning. Case closed, it's lamentable for a luxury hotel to not be able to leave anything of value in your bags inside your room.

Comfortable bed, clean rooms, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and so is the dinner buffet. The gym has all you need and also a personal trainer if you want. The swimming pool is quite small but it looks clean and the terrace around is nice to chill during the day. In front of the hotel there is Maison H, you must try their ice creams or pastries.

We are not happy staying here as made a booking from May 2023 direct with the hotel, only to be told by Emmanuellle on 29th November that our room has been cancelled and given to some other people! We are now looking for places to stay in Douala.. not a great first impression of my first time in Cameroon and first time using La Falaise Bonapriso. Definitely will be not be back to book here again as there is no security you will have a room when it was confirmed directly by email from May 2023 when I was in Australia. Garga has been amazing in trying to help us, but to have our booking cancelled by Emmanuelle and no where to go and no compensation for cancelling our room and giving it to someone else is really bad customer service for such a prestigious hotel.
