Sadly I cannot recommend this place at all due to a serious mold issue in our room, not spotted until the last day of our trip. Could be many rooms like this. This is not safe for life

Good hotel located near to airport, good matress, good location

Grubby car park outside reception area.

Worst stay of my life, staff where terribly rude and not understanding of our situation as we where forced to stay in the hotel due to poor weather and being stuck on the island for a further 3 days. Room was crusty and sheets where far from being the cleanest, with blood on pillow sheets. Would not recommend anyone to stay here, despite staying there for free I would have rather been on the streets than spend any money on the shabby excuse for a hotel

Room was nice with view across the sea. But like the rest of Douglas it is a bit tired and past its sell by date. The restaurant was good and the food really nice and great value. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Pity the jacuzzi and the saunas were out of action.

Very dated but not bad for money especially on island needs updated very 80s no staff at desk had to wait for attention but friendly once there.

We had booked a two day trip over the bank holiday some four months earlier only to find out when checking in that the pool was out of use ( a big part of our reason to book and they had known about the closure way in advance ) they said that the booking team had contacted some guests but not all !! Had a night out at the hotel ****** which was open till 3am and were then woken at 8:30 by tradesmen drilling directly beneath our room this went on all morning. The room was stifling hot and the room window had been screwed shut the toilet extract did not work at all and the shower when switched on proceeded to throw water onto the bathroom floor from a faulty fitting by the taps making the shower itself useless. The room itself was very worn and tired not as they describe. Having contacted the duty manager he said that there was nothing he could do as the hotel was full this was verified by the General manager David Hill who offered to refund our second night if we left !! Am in the process of claiming the money back under section 75. This hotel is disgusting in all ways stay somewhere else

I do not care how hotel looks, what food it provides or whether there is any entertainment. I want a room I can sleep (cool, quiet, and dark)in and freshen myself up in the morning. This hotel failed even that. (-) dark: the blackout curtains barely covered the window, leaving large holes throughout the perimeter. Pack an eye mask. (-) quiet: avoid non-seaview rooms (even numbers): all rooms on that side face the bank of aircons and the kitchen exhaust. Perversely, there is no aircon in the room so one has to keep a window open (not being able to turn off the radiator completely does not help) - imagine the noise. The place also attracts quite a number of bikers on a tour - just wait until they will start revving their engines at 5:45am. Pack earplugs. (-) cool... addressed above. No aircon so prepare to sweat in summer. For what it worth we were barely able to sleep when it was +10 outside. (-) shower... pathetic water flow, cold water pressure is much higher than the hot water pressure so hot tap had to be fully opened and cold one just a little. It also sprays everywhere except in the direction it should.... so be prepared to have fun. (-) room condition - old, dated, holes in the carpet, toilet paper holder falling off the wall. (-) some staff absolutely do not understand any English. I had to fetch receptionist to explain to the restaurant front office that I actually want to borrow a fork from them. Surprisingly food quality was rather good - if you dare to stay there, try "from the kitchen" items - porridge and fried kippers are rather good. Bed was also rather good - firm as I like it.
