Did the job, friendly staff, whole place is a little dated, but location great. It’s not expensive, would stay again as a bolt hole to explore the Island.

The hotel is very dated but clean. Shower was amazing ! Room was spacious with a separate dressing room. The out look from the windows wasn't good. We overlooked more windows on one side and a rock face on the other. There's a very small lift upto the rooms but steps upto the front door. It's a long walk to amenities. Plus we were doing the Manx Rally and talking to other competitors, we paid twice as much for the accommodation with NO breakfast, we're they paid less and got breakfast. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel but it was never open for the duration of our stay.

This hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation with a good range of breakfast options - juice, yoghurt, cereals, tea/coffee, toast and fried breakfast (including veggie). Enjoyed the relaxed and friendly a**osphere - the proprietor Mrs Hayman was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the Chinese restaurant at the hotel was closed during my stay but this hotel is great value for money and is highly recommended.

A well situated b and b close to the shops and railway. It takes about 20 min to walk to the shops and 35 min to/from the port. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortably but a bit small if your use to a king/superking. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to your needs/preferences each morning and there was always a warm welcome. There are a lot of stairs to your room but there is a small lift that goes to all floors - handy.

Back again for our yearly stay in the At Caledonia! Stayed for fourteen nights bed and breakfast. Greeted warmly on arrival and felt like we hadn't been away. Got checked in and received the key to our usual room, No 7 (a family sea view). Room was clean and tidy, complete with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Toiletries had also been left out in bathroom for use if required. Bed lien and towels were spotless, as was the table linen at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! A selection of cereals, yoghurts, apple/orange juice and condiments are available at a self-service station to the rear of the dining room. The cooked breakfast was a good size and could be customized to suit individual needs. The standard Full English comprised of: two sausages, piece of bacon, fried egg, beans, hash brown and half a cooked tomato. Scrambled, boiled and poached eggs also available. Staff as always helpful and friendly. Always willing to help where needed and accommodate guests needs. At Caledonia is dog friendly and our dog had the best stay! Dogs are not allowed in dining room but not an issue. The location of the hotel is perfect! Just a short 10-15 minutes walk from the Manx Electric Railway terminus and just 2 minutes from a bus and horse tram stop. Close to local pubs and eatery's including 'The Queens Pub' and 'Majestic Chinese Restaurant'.

Situated towards the north end of Douglas, this is a typical old Victorian hotel. Narrow and tall in a long terrace. Access is up a flight of steps so access would not be possible for wheelchair users. I arrived about 10:45pm from the ferry from Liverpool. I had notified the hotel of my arrival time at the time of booking. I was greeted at reception by a very friendly Irish gentleman who signed me in and gave me the key to my room. I had a double room with a sea view on floor 3, not very large but fine for me. The room looked like it had been recently refurbished with contemporary furnishings and colours and was spotlessly clean. The only criticism was the tiny en suite shower room but was OK for my needs. The staff were mainly Chinese but were very polite and friendly. The dining room was quite large and becomes a Chinese Restaurant in the evening. I didn't sample it myself. Breakfast was good but you had to say what you wanted. There was a choice of cereals and cooked breakfast afterwards. I was there for six nights and would definitely recommend it. Oh, and they accommodate guests dogs although I never saw one during my stay.

Booked this hotel for June 2024 for 8 nights on line booking went through ok got a phone call from the hotel saying I can’t have 8 nights because it’s TT week I have to book a minimum stay of 10 nights at a cost of £1500 what a rip off buyer beware completely ruined my holiday as I had already booked the ferry

The room was ridiculously small and we were isolating in it, more of a cell! Breakfast was fine, chose there presuming Chinese restaurant underneath was open, found out it shut umpteen years ago! Lady owner pleasant.
