Hotels Near MTD in Dresden

When I came to Dresden, I chose to stay at Holiday Inn for the following reasons: 1) Service: As an IHG hotel, the service level is stable. When checking in, the front desk will inform the customer of the current arrival of the hotel in advance, patiently ask the customer about the room requirements, and if the customer arrives early, the hotel will allow the customer to join the IHG membership to enjoy early check-in. Every morning when I go to the restaurant to eat, I can see different waiters politely but not embarrassing to greet me; When I meet the housekeeping in the corridor, I will also greet them politely. 2) Hygiene: Clean the room, change the bath towels, and refill new tea bags and coffee every day. Shortly after the restaurant guests finished eating, the waiter cleaned the table cleanly, there were no bread crumbs on the floor, and the buffet table was also wiped clean without oil stains, soy sauce stains, and tea stains. 3) Facilities: The hotel is warm like spring, and there are heating and air conditioning in the room. The bathroom in the room is large, the shower water pressure is very comfortable, and the water temperature is also comfortable. It is really comfortable to take a hot bath after a day out~ 4) Environment: The hotel is located on a small street outside the old town and is very quiet at night. It takes 3 minutes to walk to Zwinger Palace and 10 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Our Lady. There is a Sichuan restaurant less than 100 meters away from the hotel. It has a Chengdu flavor (numbing), which is delicious!

The breakfast variety is absolutely great. When you go out, you will see the famous cathedral. You can run along the river in the morning. It is also very convenient to walk to the pedestrian street, and walk to the train station for fifteen minutes.

Forgot to take pictures, but ibis is a unified decoration. Breakfast, the rooms are the same. Hotel location is super! Go to the old town to visit, go to the supermarket, the hotel is super convenient. The hotel parking lot is very expensive for 15 Euros a day. You can find a parking lot near the road. 6 Euros a day

Pros: -Rooms are all quiet and ours overlooked a small park outside. -Nice cocktail bar and breakfast in lobby offered if you just want to relax. -Staff was very kind and attentive. Housekeeping was very pleasant and did a great job in the facility! -Short walk to central Dresden for a great price and newer hotel. Cons: -No laundromat in building or very close by so we ended up washing some clothing in our sink. -Breakfast is a bit pricey by German standards for this market. Would recommend going down the street a few blocks to grab some danishes, yogurt and fruit at the Rewe supermarket and enjoy in their small eating area instead.

Lovely hotel. Great staff. Check-in and checkout perfect. Rooms clean, good size, wifi perfect, very comfortable all round. Great feature is the convenience store in the lobby with a variety of snacks, wine, beer, etc. Excellent location at the edge of the historic centre. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

10 minutes walk from Dresden Hauptbanhof and 15 minutes walk to Neumarktplatz. Big shopping mall next door and PragerStrasse has all kinds of shops and restaurants. All in all a great location. Our room was an unusual layout with a large foyer and even larger bedroom but with sp**** furniture. We liked it as we had plenty of room to spread out. All the staff we met were smiling and helpful.

We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

Hotel was clean and nice It was nice that the lights were bright, unlike in a European hotel. It was close to the downtown area so it was great for shopping. The Christmas market and tourist attractions are a bit far, but you can walk there in about 20 minutes. It was convenient because it was close to the train station.

This is an outstanding hotel. It is located across the street from the train station, but is incredibly quiet. The place is immaculate and the interior design is very well done. The hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it looks brand new. Staff was very attentive and fluent in English. The room was decent sized for a European hotel. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could tour Dresden before taking a train out of town. It's one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in recent years

The hotel name ”premium” and the category ”4 stars” suggest a hotel in the high segment. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Although the rooms were in order and in the middle standard area. The TV was very small, there was no minibar, no refrigerator, only convenient furniture, room door even with keys. In the 4th and 5th floors were only smoking rooms. What an anachronism that something like this is still offered today! This is not a good sign of the modernity of a hotel, which has also been shown elsewhere. The hotel is very remote, free parking at the hotel is very few and is quickly located. It seems to be very popular in bus travel groups, but with a mass operation, the hotel is over-required in all areas. As regards the organisational processes, this hotel was a pure disaster: When checking in we had to be in the slate for more than half an hour, booked additional services were only issued on request. At breakfast time slots were given: you had to determine whether to be 07:30 - 08:30, 08:30 - 09: 30 or 09:30-10:30 wanted to have breakfast. Although we kept ourselves on the specified times, we had to stand in the slate again over 30 minutes until a table was free. All in all: This hotel rents rooms that are far above the capacity, The hotel is not a recommendation for us, we will not come back.
