It's an old city area with low terrain. It rained heavily in Dubai when I went there. It was flooded. There was no water, electricity or food. The water took several days to drain and it was smelly. We also didn't refund the room we booked. We wasted our time and had to move to another place.

Slightly below Average experience of a 3 star hotel. I requested early check-in, high floor and slippers. Nothing major but it was requested 2 months in advance. So to my surprise it was not given and no communication given to inform me in advance. I had arrived around 5am and was forced to wait for OVER 7 hours to get a room. Absolutely ridiculous and to make it worse, as I was fasting in Ramadan, I was not allowed to be refunded for the Breakfast Buffet I PAID for in advance as I could not eat during 6am-11am breakfast timings. It took some time before the cafe staff very kindly allowed me to get a breakfast box to take prior. So I was quite appalled at the fact that those days I fasted without having Suhoor even though I had paid for it and no suitable compensation offered.
Food quality was average, not fresh tasting at all.

The room smells very strongly of cigarette smoke from the ventilation. The entire floor was non-smoking. Things smelled. At the reception they offered to do the cleaning
