Writing the review on the 2nd day of my stay - room 409. May have to stay until I find something better. I will list down different aspect and my experience: 1. Airport pick up (6/10): Airport pick up was arranged for me for 250 AED - an old Merc with a friendly driver. Was ok - except that his driving skills could be better. 2. Check-in (8/10): They were ready with docs and room number. I came in quite early around 0900 hrs but since it was reserved from last night, I asked for breakfast. They were taken aback. After a bit, I received 2 set dosas with chutney n sambhar - in plastic containers. A mere indication of what was to come. 3. Location (9/10): This is in Discovery Gardens and in close proximity to metro/tram stations and very near Marina and Ibn Batuta mall. Locality feels very Indian with Tamil influence (from the shops). There are several cheap restaurants nearby and quite a few pure veg ones as well - mostly Indian but Pakistani, Lebanese, Chinese etc. as well. One will find two supermarkets, two Indian supermarkets (one Tamil), few pharmacies etc. Overall, a very nice locality and if you are an Indian or vegetarian, this place is very good. 4. Room (8/10): Surprisingly the floor plan and the rooms are incredibly neat. Quite spacious for a studio apartment and has a balcony, a large fridge, microwave, induction oven, washing machine etc. My room has one queen bed and one single bed - mattresses are comfortable. Fridge, microwave and Air Conditioner work well. Room also has plenty of cupboards to store all your stuff, one work table, one small table for eating, two chairs, one sofa, one luggage bench etc. and furniture is made out of good quality wood. 5. Room Amenities (3/10): Room is dimly lit, I suppose to save electricity. Almost nothing excepting two glasses and one plate (and couple of spoons and forks) were provided. I asked for plates, bowls, cups, electric kettle etc. They all came, along with some tea/coffee sachets. But everything happens slowly. Television is out and wont start. Few toiletries are provided but I normally dont touch those. Only two large towels - nothing for hand or footmat. No hangers provided. 6. WiFi (1/10): They ask you to login using some code - connection keeps dropping and managed a best speed of 4 mbps. If you have any plans of working from the facility, please do not choose this place. 7. Breakfast (0/10): I heard them ring the bell at 0730 in the morning. Some random guy handed me a packet of poha and a packet of fruits and then poured some tea into a paper cup and handed over to me - that was breakfast !!! First the food service resembled prison food distribution as we have seen in movies. Second, quantity of Poha will leave a rabbit asking for more. I didnt exactly visualized this when my office voucher said breakfast included !!! Lucky for me lot of Tamil places around that open at 6 - I ate at one today and will eat at the other one tomorrow. Tomorrow I plan to gracefully refuse the brea
