Staff were friendly and welcoming. Spacious room. Very comfy and clean. Cute Chris**as tree at the reception. Quite close to city centre via tram. Would recommend!

The Ashling is a great place to "land" when first arriving in Ireland. We chose it because it's right next to the train station where we would be departing to Galway two days after arrival in Dublin. It's pretty far from the city center... you can walk to city center but prepare for 30 min walk. Only real complaint was no shampoo/conditioner in room. Just shower gel and lotion. Maybe you can ask for it at reception - not sure. But Ashling is super comfortable, and restaurant/bar is pretty good. If you plan to spend several days in Dublin, I wouldn't choose it (just b/c of distance from city center). But for a night or two to get adjusted to the time zone, etc., it works perfectly.
