Mespil Hotel

The Mespil is a clean, if somewhat clinical, hotel close to the business district. There's not much nearby in the way of sights or shops, so note that you'll be walking far or taking cars to the major tourist areas. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel faces a park, which has an homeless encampment.

The experience was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a nice area and easy to walk around. At the bar Alvaro gave us food and drinks recommendations and made our experience really enjoyable. Highly recommend the hotel :)

Booked 4 nights in May during Euro’s final to be close to stadium but our football club didn’t end up making it to the final so we enjoyed our trip as a city break instead. Location of hotel excellent for getting around city. 15 min walk to stop for Hop on Hop off bus tours. Close to some fantastic restaurants too. We stayed in room 518 which bus top floor & away from passing guests. Noise from street below very minimal. Room is large & well laid out & bathroom is well appointed too. Rituals bath & body care products were lovely as well. Nice to have an in room coffee machine & mini fridge. Appreciated the robes, full length mirror, wall hooks & large bench at the foot of the bed. The bed was supportive but not overly firm & a good non motion transfer quality. Power & usb plugs on both sides of the bed is handy as well. Bed linens very comfy too. Staff & service in the hotel is excellent. Our stay included breakfast. Hot & cold buffet items of good quality & selection. Also an a la carte menu included too. The omelette was the only item my husband & I agreed was sub par. I think it’s made with an egg product not fresh cracked eggs. But the buffet had both scrambled & sunny side up eggs so we had those instead. I highly recommend staying at this hotel & wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again the next time we’re in Dublin!

Nice hotel, clean, modern and bright. A moderate walk from St. Stephen's Square and a short walk to Lesson St where we found good drinking establishments, a Madigan's ( burgers, Guinness stew, fish and chips) and an excellent restaurant The Canal Bank Cafe. Coffee-to-Go a few doors down provides great coffee and a light breakfast alternative to the hotel breakfast.
