This hotel is in a good location but i found the staff, in general, less than welcoming. The first room they assigned me was tiny!!! With an old uncomfortable single bed. i upgraded to another room for additional fee - which was slightly better. but not much. the heating is centrally controlled but the one radiator is behind heavy curtains so when the curtains are closed the heat is lost. staff also told me the heating automatically turns off at 11pm. the nights are cold!! the shower was a semi-circular japanese style unit that once you got in... you could not move. so tight. tiny. i am not obese but anyone of overweight or obese dimensions.... forget it. So my point is - this hotel is really out of date. The quality of the bar (drinks and food) in the hotel was really poor. I travel almost 100 nights per year and am perhpas spoiled by good quality hotels - this one was a throwback to days gone by that I would not recommend to anyone with discerning taste.

This place looks lovely on the website. I did enjoy sitting by the fire, but there are a few details you need to know. Such as it is several buildings cobbled together. We had a room on the second floor. We used the elevator to get to the second floor, then we had to walk down three steps, and then walk up seven with a heavy suitcase to get to our room. I believed we passed through a door, too. Please note this if you are physically limited. If you are driving, you have to park in a garage a couple of blocks ways. We arrived early on Thursday. Stayed one night and our garage fee was sixty-eight euros. The hotel validation only took about thirty euros off. We came in early as did about a dozen other people and there was no one at reception. I think they didn't arrive until nine. Our room wasn't ready early despite the request we made before we arrived. It came available at the normal time. The hotel was quite loud at night, but that may have been the other guests. On the plus side, they provided a nice tea service in the room as well as still and sparkling water. Breakfast is provided in the dining room. It is close to St. Stephen's Square and the Archaelogical Museum. Front desk and housekeeping staff were pleasant and friendly.

If you are able to book off peak and stay at least 3 nights and select the breakfast option, it’s an incredible value. The location is fantastic…walking distance to many of Dublin’s attractions, pubs and restaurants. The hotel has an old charm and everything is updated and very well appointed. The breakfast is excellent featuring cold and hot options…top notch. Best of all is the staff…all going above & beyond. Would certainly return if coming again to Dublin.

A delightful, "old style", elegant hotel with really kind and always smiling staff! Spacious, clean room with every type of comfort. Located a stone's throw from Trinity College, Grafton Street and St. Stephen's Park, to name just a few attractions. Highly recommended!

What a lovely couple of days. It is in a fantastic location in central Dublin, close to museums, galleries and other sights. Buswells is a beautiful Georgian hotel. As if that were not enough, the staff could not have been more helpful and nicer - from the very kind and pleasant desk staff to the attentive and friendly breakfast room servers and the bar staff. Thanks as well to the room staff. This is not a corporate/anonymous hotel. Thank you so much

Perhaps we ordered the wront thing or we sat in the wrong space for our meal, but it was somewhat of a harmiong spot to rest after viewing an exhibit on William Bitler Yeats. As an aside, there were four ladies lunching across from us having which was entertaining. Our food was okay, nothing to write home about, but perhaps staying here would have change our thinking.

Overall good stay but the radiators were not on so we had to use a heater to get some warmth in the room. The staff were quite slow in getting things ready too but we got early check in which was really nice. central location too and massive room for 3 which was great.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Very central , affordable hotel in the centre of Dublin , within easy walking distance of many attractions. It was our first stay and apart from one minor blip which was dealt with excellently ,by Pablo , everything went well . Lovely cooked breakfast and wonderful staff. Thanks to the bar staff , especially Michael and Juan who were both very good. We would definitely return and thanks again for all your help , Pablo.
