The rooms were cozy and well appointed. The staff, especially the bartender, were so friendly. The only negative was a bad smell coming from the bathroom toilet drain. It dissipated somewhat after our first shower.

I was very impressed by the helpful and friendly service. In particular, they were able to store our bags securely for almost a full day after we had checked out, which let us explore the city before heading to the airport at the end of the day. All the food we had was very good and the full Irish breakfast was stellar. Unfortunately, our room was uncomfortably warm despite it being cool and rainy outside. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if the weather was actually hot. We were able to sleep by leaving the window open all night, but the city noise woke us up early in the morning.

The room was really nicely decorated, although rather small, but incredibly hot - the thermostat read 28 degrees, which necessitated the fan being on all evening and night. The noise from the trams and traffic was considerable too throughout the night. On arrival, the entire building was locked with shutters down and we had to wait 10 minutes until someone came out of the building to check in. There was also no breakfast or meals served on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Lovely Welcoming and Friendly Staff. Had an issue with a very squeaky bed on the first night which was dealt with by the Manager. Loved the location as close to all tourist drinking holes and even some of the more abscure ones. Locals welcomed us and gave advice on where to go. Photos of pub list added below. Would definitely go back give the opportunity.

My stay at McGettigan’s was very enjoyable. The room was wan the small side but very quaint, comfortable, and clean. Walking distance to just about everything in Dublin City-Center (Jamison distillery, Guinness brewery, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar Pub area, Irish whiskey museum, and Trinity college.) Unfortunately, the downstairs Pub & restaurant was not open at all during the two days I was there, so I can’t comment on them. The pub did look nice though. There is a parking garage a couple of blocks away but is pretty expensive. The only problem I had was finding the place. The google maps link in my confirmation email took me to the wrong place. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Excellent place to stay. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Lovely to have a bar downstairs with live music. Lovely walk along the river Liffy to the town centre. Good location without being in the centre of Temple bar.

We had a 2 night stay midweek, travelling midweek from the UK to go to a gig at Vicar St. On arrival and throughout our stay the staff were great. Very friendly and, although slow at breakfast, service was great overall. Breakfast was ok, we got what we asked for but it would be nice to see more choice on the menu. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of the Temple Bar area, very easy to get a taxi or a tram, we travelled to Howth for the day by tram and train in about 40 minutes. Our room was pretty quiet throughout our stay. Other guests were annoyingly very noisy when walking past but I appreciate that the hotel can’t really do much about this. The room was very hot, I didn’t feel like I could open the window as it opened onto an alleyway which always had a lot of pigeons in it. The room itself was very small, I feel that the owners could have made the rooms a better size at the expense of maybe having 1 or 2 fewer rooms. The bed in our room was very noisy and it turned out that it had a broken slat underneath. Cleanliness wasn’t great, our room was very dusty (specifically the lampshades) and we had a very slow draining shower with the cause being a trap which was full of hair, not very pleasant. The water pressure on the shower was great and the bathroom was very pleasant. Netflix available on the TV, we couldn’t use the WI-FI as the code on our key card didn’t work. The room had tea and coffee making facilities. Half of the milk in the room was out of date and the milk we could use was replaced with more out of date cartons, very disappointing. Overall we had a pleasant stay but the room was very expensive for what we received. I would probably stay somewhere else in future. For the price I would expect air conditioning and a better standard of cleaning. I left all this feedback on the guest comment card and I really hope that the owners have been able to ready it.

Ideally located on the Luas line as we were arriving to Heuston Station and heading to the 3Arena later. Our room was on 2nd floor so was very quiet, no street noise with window closed and couldn't hear any sounds from the ground floor bar which had live music on the night we stayed. The room was small but clean and apart from a creaky bed frame, was very comfortable. Breakfast was a choice of cooked breakfasts, no cereal, etc on offer and so there was a bit of a wait for it but it was tasty when it arrived.

We arrived at 3 pm for 2 nights. We got given our key and off we went to our room. Room very small as we had paid €330 for 2 nights. Not the cheapest place. Bed just a normal double and the bed quite creaky and not a great mattress, could do with a new one. No full length mirror, just the mirror in the bathroom. Had to plug hairdryer into bedroom and use in front of bathroom mirror. Only just reached. Had a meal in the bar..steak and chips with pepper sauce very nice apart from the pepper sauce tasted like stilton. The chef was adamant that it was pepper sauce but even the fella running the restaurant agreed it smelt like cheese. It says on couple of websites that breakfast was included in the roomrate. Not the case with us it was an extra €10pp. Can't comment on the quality as we didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Bar staff all friendly and very attentive. Hotel easy to get to and very close to Guinness tour and tramstop to town. Would stay again if the room was bigger and with brekkie included.
