Pearse Street Suites

Although this 1 bedroom flat (with extra Sofa Bed) is convenient (a 4 min walk from Bord Gais theatre) great hot water supply and heating ,also very clean, with small things like Tea/Coffee/Sugar… My problem was, it’s not as picturesque as the photos that advertise Pe**** Street Suits… my expectations were far higher than what I got. If only Properties would picture exactly what it’s like and not over sell. The TV needs updating! The bathroom fan does not work, and things that are said to be in the apartment should be there ie: dishwasher/(Ironing board, which was bought to the apartment after asking). It wasn’t cheap at approx £700 Sterling for 6 nights. It would not stop me returning it was an efficient remote check in, safe (on Friday & Saturday night someone was physically on the reception desk) and as my Husband and I were leaving for the airport, (literally) press the button and a cab was there in minutes…just please don’t over sell.

Basic, clean, but entirely adequate apartment. Well equipped kitchen, though we prefer to eat out on a brief city break - Mackenzies Restaurant, very close on the Grand Canal, was excellent. Good location to explore city, just 15 min walk from Connolly Station

Location is good for croke park stadium about a 30 min walk. Easy self check in & check out service. Apartment was clean, great size and had everything you would need if choosing self catering. Had to pay €400 deposit as there was 2 families and was a little worried after reading some of the reviews about people losing their deposit but we had no problems getting that refunded even after taking one of the keys home by mistake. Posted the key the following day and the refund arrived the next day into my account. I have to say I found the management very accommodating at all times and would stay here again.

We had to move our stay twice because of the pandemic and were charged twice to do this, which seemed unfair. The apartment sleeps 5 however no bedding was provided for the sofa bed. I emailed to request it and it took 2 days for a sheet and duvet to be delivered. No pillows. The walls of the apartment were so thin that the neighbours kept myself and my daughter awake every night. My companion slept on the sofa bed in the lounge and was also kept awake by the very noisy boiler coming on at all hours without any reason. There is a TV provided but no signal because the set top box did not have the correct adaptor so could not be plugged in. I emailed requesting this be resolved. Nothing happened. We were unable to catch up on news or put TV on for the kids. On our last morning, both water and power turned off at 8am despite check out time being a couple of hours later. No explanation given. My daughter could not shower and my son could not charge his phone. We left apartment early and paid for food elsewhere because we could not use the kitchen. I emailed to express my dissatisfaction and have received no reply. Not impressed for the cost, which had increased considerably from the original booking. Would not book with this company or accommodation again. I have also included photos of damage in the apartment - these were there when we arrived and I took photos to ensure we did not get charged from our deposit for them.

We never saw any staff and had a bit of bother getting into apartment as deposit had to be paid over the phone and there was no Wi-Fi in reception. Eventually they let us in as long as we guaranteed payment when we were in flat. With that completed the flat was spotless very well equipped with everything we needed. Extremely comfortable bed. Tesco Express and Centra supermarket close by. It is located approximately 15 minutes walk from centre depending how quickly you walk.

The apartment itself is ok, but just read some reviews and you will quickly understand that you should not book this place. Apparently, it's a part of these people's business model to steal the €500 "security deposit" after you leave. In our case, there was no damage or anything along those lines. They based it on "extreme noise" which could perhaps be based on a misunderstanding but I am quite sure they just prefer keeping their deposits more than they like reviews. We did not have any means of making extreme noise, there was no music, tv or anything along those lines. We talked. There is no reason why we should pay €500 for that.

Very happy with the size and cleanliness of the apartment. The only thing that could improve it is would be if it was nearer the city centre but of course if you're going to The Bord Gais Theatre it is the perfect location. Centra Supermarket across the road as well as a Maldron Hotel where we had a beautiful meal served by very pleasant staff. . Very simple check-in procedure and the provision of keys for each guest was very welcome as we often have a difficulty with this when travelling. We were thrilled to have been upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment on arrival, this was a real bonus. I look forward to staying here again.

Booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 couples and it was spacious enough for us to spend a few days in. Everything worked and there was plenty of utensils etc. in the kitchen. The location is great and it's easy to walk or get a taxi anywhere. My main issue is that the beds appear to be quite cheap, both the frames and the mattresses. The majority of us didn't sleep well and woke up with pains... one resorted to sleeping on the sofa.

Having stayed in these apartments before, Feb 2020, I had no hesitation in re booking for a return visit with 5 friends, we stayed in the 3 bed apartment and it was lovely, everything you need for a three day break, Dublin temple bar area is approx a 20 minute walk and a lovely part of Dublin, Tesco on the doorstep for supplies , very close to trinity college. My only thoughts on improvement is a bag drop off at the apartment when we arrived would have been better, Gardiner House Hostel is quite a trek and security not ideal. We appreciated being able to leave our cases at the reception of Pe**** Street on our check out day. Overall a lovely accommodation that I would highly recommend, thank you.
