We stayed here for two nights and every morning woke up to one of the most beautiful views we have ever had in a hotel. The staff up front are incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast we had was delicious and such a great way to start the day. Old town Dubrovnik is just a quick taxi or Uber ride away. There are also excellent bars and restaurants near the hotel within walking distance!

We stayed at the Kompas hotel in Dubrovnik at the end of April . On a positive note , the hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. We chose the hotel as it was rated a 4 star plus hotel with Jet2. I have to say at best it was a 3 star hotel. The location is very good, right on the beach and within easy commute of the old town,on the number 6 bus which leave every 15mins close to the hotel. The outdoor pool was absolutely freezing, we didn’t see anyone in the pool all the week we were there. The indoor pool wasn’t much warmer. We were at the hotel on a Bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was very limited, with bacon and eggs left on a hot plate. Most of the time the food was cold. The fruit selection was however good. If you stay round the hotel at lunchtime the food is very limited and they need to offer a better selection. Overall, it’s a nice hotel but requires some attention to the food offers and the swimming pool temperature if they want to aspire to be a 4 star hotel.

This hotel is beautiful - the rooms are large and comfortable, and the setting on the pebble beach and the views are wonderful. The buffet breakfast is very varied and of good quality. We got good value for money because it was the very beginning of the season, although that meant the outdoor pool was not yet available. The indoor pool was good for swimming lengths although very cold, and we enjoyed the sauna and steam room. You can taxi to the Dubrovnik old town for about 6 euros and it takes 10 minutes. There are also options for eating in the vicinity of the hotel that you can walk to. The hotel advertises free parking, but take into account that this is limited.

This hotel has it all. Great views; friendly and welcoming staff; beautifully appointed rooms and a relaxing vibe. It’s in a great location, just a short walk from a number of excellent bars and restaurants, and a five minute walk to the bus stop and taxi rank that’ll take you into the old town. I’ll definitely be back!

Hotel Kompas is a beautiful property right by the Lapad Bay beachfront and a very pretty promenade along the water. Even though our days were busy touring and visiting sites, our family looked forward to coming back and relaxing by the beach (it’s a pebble beach so need swim shoes), using the indoor pool and sauna. The hotel itself is very nice with a nice lobby that had the perfect view of the sunset. Our rooms were also nice except that both our 2 “deluxe double room, balcony, sea view” rooms (rms 1010 and 1011) had tall trees obstructing our sea view. Please see photos including how these rooms are described online. I did bring up with front desk and staff, as I was confused with the obstructed views but, yup, they did confirm I had “deluxe” rooms and that was that. Otherwise, very happy with hotel, amenities, included breakfast and staff friendliness. Btw, it’s not as near to Old Town as I thought, we were a family of 5 and Uber made sense, but we loved it anyway. There are several restaurant choices along the promenade, which is very pretty.

Great location, with beautiful views and easy walk to restaurants, shops and bus into old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, large rooms (and we particularly liked the daily chocolates). Excellent breakfast, hotel bars and restaurants also very good.

I would consider you a 5 star hotel, quality of the room, facilities, food far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast and dinner at your restaurant was superb and the evening live performers was awesome. Location with easy access to bus stop was great, lots of nice restaurants nearby and loved swimming in nearby Lapad Beach. We will recommend your hotel to everyone!!!
