Can't fault this establishment at. Great welcome, friendly staff, lovely comfortable room. We had dinner and breakfast which were both amazing and well worth the money, top marks for matilda at breakfast, lovely young lady and very attentive.

Das Balmoral Arms hat uns sehr begeistert. Herzlicher und freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer im Obergeschoss war perfekt, sauber und ausreichend für 2 Personen. Für das Abendessen haben wir gleich bei Ankunft einen Tisch im hoteleigenen Restaurant gebucht. Eine sehr gute Wahl. Das Essen war hervorragend. Hierhin würden wir jederzeit wieder zurück kehren :-)

Lovely 1 night stay for partner's birthday. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and my partner especially loved the croissants. I loved that there was a vegan hot breakfast option. We did not have diner in the hotel but bar staff made us feel especially welcome when we went in for a drink later in the evening. Hotel is perfectly located in the centre of town, near restaurants and bars and local walking routes. Not to be missed if you are travelling in the area, especially with hotel's closeness to Balmoral castle and other visitor attractions. Great value for money.

Balmoral Arms is situated in Ballater, not more than 12 km. From Balmoral Castle, in the Cairngorm National Park. A lot of possibilities for trips in the national park. Highly recommendable hotel. We were lucky to have live traditionel musik in the evening.

Restaurant was excellent. Although the venison pie was delicious, it came without the usual pastry crust because they had run out, yet our reservation was not that late in the evening. The pillows are either very thin and very firm or too thick and very firm - no soft pillows, which we prefer and as a result we did not sleep well. As expensive as this hotel is, this is inexcusable.

Had a lovely 3 night break at The Balmoral Arms, June 2024. Room was comfortable and clean, a little bit tired in places, nice large shower. Breakfast was delicious as were the two evening meals we had in the hotel. Evening menu was a little limited if you were to eat there more than a couple of nights. The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially the restaurant staff. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our stay.

We had a great first visit to Ballater and the hotel did not disappoint. Our room was very clean and tidy. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was very tasty and the waiting staff very courteous and friendly. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

This hotel has been brought up to date but still retains a traditional atmosphere. The food is excellent and service is good. All staff very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The location is good for walking. We would definitely return.
