Bayswell Park Hotel

It is a lovely hotel in an amazing location. Rooms are clean, food at the restaurant is very delicious. The best view of the seaside you will have.

Spent a lovely few days at Bayswell Park hotel on my first ever solo trip. Booked from April 22nd to 26th, stayed in room 16. Lovely sea view , friendly staff, room serviced daily and delicious breakfast every day. I hope to stay here again one day.

We had a beautiful stay here! I highly recommend a visit. Waking up to the sound of the ocean, followed by a walk on the coastal path. It was a very relaxing stay, and we will definitely be booking again.

We decided to book Bayswell Park, as we were going to be attending a family wedding at Broxmouth Courtyard, short drive away. We opted for a deluxe suite since we were 3 nights and wanted to make the most of our time away. On arrival, we were greeted by the staff in reception, friendly and helpful. Our room was the john muir suite on the 1st floor, the room had stunning views of the sea. The room furnishings and decor were in keeping with the buildings history, with a modern ensuite bathroom. The hotel and rooms were very clean. My only criticism of the room is that it looked onto the hotubs, making it us feel a little awkward when tried to sit in the bay window to enjoy the view. In the mornings we enjoyed the breakfast in the cosy conservatory. There was a nice selection of continental and cooked breakfast options, including vegetarian and vegan. The serving staff very friendly and polite. The main door of the hotel is locked after 11pm, after this time, access is via a electronic keypad, the code is given when you check in, the first time using it was a little confusing, but it is easy to get the hang of it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are already talking about booking another stay, so we can properly explore the town and surrounding area. Lovely, friendly Hotel

We had a lovely stay here at Bayswell, we had a lovely welcome and were given room 18. Pros - the view from the bay window was amazing. Room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, fluffy bath towels and gorgeous toiletries in the bathroom. Staff were helpful and friendly, easy parking. Breakfast was very good, well presented and tasty. Cons - our window rattled as it was very windy so had to jam it with a bit of cardboard. The mirror in the room was rather high, should really be lowered. There was no shelf to lay anything in the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return with a sea view room.

Super warm welcome from young lady on reception desk, when we popped in for a quick drink last Saturday afternoon. Sun was shining in between showers, so we fancied a quick pint (adults) and juice (kiddos) after a trip to the nearby lovely walled garden & park. Views from beer garden are sensational but a bit too windy on our visit. We were told we were welcome to use the restaurant area which is in a lovely warm conservatory overlooking the cliffs and harbour. Beautiful. Big smiles and a warm welcome can be sadly all too rare when visiting traditional smaller Scottish hotels. Delighted to see this wasn't the case at this place. Costs nothing and makes a big difference. We'll be back.

We stayed for one night for a quick break. Unexpectedly sunny weather for the time of year so that certainly helped. We were able sit outside in the gardens and have a drink. The views are certainly spectacular. Check in was easy and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a sea view one and it looked as if it had been recently refurbished. It was very clean and tastefuly decorated. It does feel a bit awkward though, because the bay window was directly above the hot tubs so you feel as if you are intruding because you are looking down on people using them. The room had old style sash windows and the wind got up that night. One of the windows rattled the whole night so we didnt get much sleep at all. The tv is on the wall at the side of the bed rather than on the wall facing the bed. It's on an extending arm but I lost count of the times I banged into it while walking past it. We took dinner at the hotel. The food was very nice and well prepared - it was an excellent meal although the menu itself doesn't offer a massive range of choice. Service was friendly. Breakfast was also really nice. I hadn't been to Dunbar for years and I have to admit that it pleasantly surprised me. Next time I'd be happy to stay at this hotel. although I'd maybe bring some tape to stop the window rattling :)
