The lobby and stairwells (which are required because there's no elevator) smell like urine. The front desk apparently has an agreement with the homeless because they let them sleep in the lobby and use the facilities. The building is not locked at night despite "requiring" keycard access. They leave all doors open.

The rooms have recently been redone and there is flooring instead of carpeting. This is a real plus IMHO. It is a basic, budget hotel, but it did the job we needed. Breakfast is a bit lame -- some fruit would be nice and perhaps cream cheese for the bagels.

Room was dirty. Floor was sticky. The chair in the room had large tears in it. Hair dryer had mold on cord. The bed was so high off the floor an older or handicapped person probably wouldn’t have been able to get into the bed.

This substandard hotel is rated on the internet as 3:5. I rated less than 2. Filthy appliances and fixtures Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Beds not properly and undone upon returning to the room; bed wrinkles still in sheets and body impressions still apparent in the bed. Tub drainage poor. Water backed up to ankles while showering. only towels were replaced.
