Lovely hotel, staff friendly and very helpful. Changed our room after first night as TV kept cutting out and outside noise from a pump or generator. Breakfast was terrific, everything hot and cooked to perfection. Free parking behind hotel. Would recommend to anyone.

Hotel itself is a bit tired but perfectly okay Breakfast was great but what makes this place is the staff, Every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally helpful professional and friendly. We’ll done guys.

The staff were wonderful the Hotel is a peace of History ,Churchill stayed here when he was the MP for Dundee the stairs case is oak and go’s up to the Gods ,Breakfast was entertaining as now it’s table service but the staff all rallied round to make sure everyone was served a total team effort very centrally cocktail bar next door was great 10/10

We stayed here for convenience as the hotel was only a couple of minutes walk from the venue we were visiting. Bedroom was a bit tired but clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. An in room safe was available which you don't often see in Scottish hotels. Parking was free. There is a pay carpark at the rear but it's free to guests when they check in. Breakfast was ok but some of the staff seamed a bit disorganised.We were asked our tea/coffee choice as we checked in but this was immediately forgotten. Would probably stay in one of the more modern hotels if we come to Dundee for an overnight stay again but for us it served its purpose.

Cheap hotel, decor needs refreshing & new curtains. You get what you’ve paid for especially if money is tight. Would go back as so close to fav restaurant.

As others have mentioned, this hotel does have the creaks and groans of old age, BUT this is fully understandable, and at no time did this impact on our stay.
Very friendly and attentive staff, especially Amy (?) on reception, and the guys manning the restaurant for Sunday breakfast. Even had a cheery word from the chef.
In summary, a city centre hotel with parking, and within walking distance of most attractions - what's not to like.
