Very clean and cosy rooms. With good facilities. Ample parking space.

Stayed 2 nights for business & really enjoyed. Would stay again for pleasure/leisure! Used the fitness room (2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 bike & some free weights + mats for use): no-one else in so had to myself & features a tv. It is very basic, open 8:30am-8:30pm (would guess to manage noise) but did the job…… Had meal first night & enjoyed - something for everyone on the menu. Ate in the conservatory with lovely views including that of the grounds that are obviously lovingly looked after. Main portion of the room was a little dated by the wooden doors/room furniture but was totally fine & bathroom was very modern. Very clean & nice refreshment options in room. The staff were warm, relaxed & friendly. The hotel had the air of one from years gone by & enjoyed that nostalgia :)

Breakfast was of poor quality. Stale Breakfast breads and poor quality coffee.

Had a one night stay on 27th April as we were attending a concert. We were in Room 236. A bit dated with the bathroom needing full refurbishment however was clean and had all amenities. Our bed was massive and very comfortable. Our deal included breakfast and a bottle of wine in our room. Breakfast was decent and no complaints with our wine! First time in ages where I’ve stayed in a hotel where the bar is open through the night. This was handy as we wanted to unwind with a drink after the concert. Bar prices were very reasonable. Without doubt though, the stars here are the staff. A credit to the hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights room only. We had a deluxe king room on the first floor. Room was very clean but very tired and in need of refurbishment. The bed was so hard so sadly not a comfortable stay. Ate in the bistro which was excellent. Lovely views of the garden from the bistro and bar. The staff are what makes this place - everyone we came in contact with were great.

I was staying here in advance of a day at Knockhill Racing circuit, which is about 15 minutes drive by car. There was plenty of free parking in the hotel grounds. The receptionist on the front desk was cheerful and pleasant, as were all the hotel staff I spoke to. My request for an upper floor room had been seen and I was given a quiet room, all good! Room was a good size with all the features you'd expect for tea/coffee, plus a club chair as well as a desk. I notice the wall socket beside the bed also included USB sockets. Free Wi-Fi speed was acceptable, I was getting 14Mbps, and it's available throughout the hotel. There is a captive portal, but you can decline giving any details before access. The evening meal the bistro was perfectly cooked and, like breakfast, was served promptly. At breakfast, there's a good selection of fruits, yoghurts etc. if you don't want the full Scottish. I expect in the summer the garden, which can be seen from bistro and dining room, will be spectacular. What could be improved, some things which I noticed - 1) I sank right into the upright seat in the room (426) and ended up sitting on a cushion as the springs were so tired. 2) In the walk-in shower, there's just a combined shower gel/shampoo dispenser and no conditioner 3) The hotel entrance would benefit from a spruce-up and good jet-wash, the Scottish climate encourages green algae on the canopy etc. However, these are not show-stoppers and I'd be happy to return to this hotel.
