Ok Ok Ok if you're looking for tranquility you have found paradise at Divi. Their all inclusive resort is laid back, family friendly, offering excellent service, and an amazing beach. Just bring your water shoes if you have sensitive feet. The check in process at Divi you may find is as a bit cumbersome. If you're unlike me and are on island time then it's no biggie. You'll find the concierge service helpful in reserving reservations, excursions, snd transportation. Honestly, I am going to rate the room that I was assigned to an 8/10. I say this because of the wear of furniture and chipped floor tile & paint in my room. I find that this can be an issue at any resort or hotel. What matters most to me is that there were no corners and I mean no corners cut in the cleanliness of the room and maintaining this cleanliness during my stay. I did notnhabe any issues with missing personal items but then again I kept these items with me. I have found that the staff were mostly polite and helpful. Big shout outs to Mr. David and Santa Rosa for their service during my morning breakfasts. They were both attentive and hospitible to their guest, ensuring that their needs were meet. Although, my dinners were at various resturants between Divi and Tamarijin the service was overall excellent. My only qualm with service is with the staff member at the towel hut aka the towel czar. This person was as sour as bunch of sour patch kids. My guess is that they never took hospitality 101 or either failed that class repeatedly. There are a number of food options between the Divi and Tamarjin resorts that guest can select from. Food drinks at both resorts are fair. The bartenders, I found were friendly and fun. Please take note that glass stemware is only served at the resturants. Otherwise expect your wine, cocktails, etc to be served in plastic cups. My guess is that this is to maintain guest safety from broken glass on the beaches etc. My biggest wish is that they upgrade to plastic stemware instead. Entertainment is family friendly. During my stay there were youth dancers performing in the evenings. Their costumes were beautiful and colorful performing many dances native to Arbua. Mr. Lenny the karoke singer is a gem. He may not be Neil Diamond or Stevie Wonder but nonetheless he was able to engage the guest as they sang along to many of the tunes that he performed. Do not expect a lively night club atmosphere in the evenings because you will not find it Divi. In summary, I highly recommend the Divi resort. Hopefully, when I return again there will be improvements made with their check in process, stemware, entertainment, and even a few ramps added to access to the tiki umbrellas on the beach for wheelchair accessbility as I would love love love to have my mother who is wheelchair bound to be able to enjoy this piece of paradise.
