Fair Oak House Exeter Airport

It needs a large sign on the house to make it easy to find

Perfect location to take the worry out of an early flight or late arrival back to Exeter. Only a couple of minutes walk to the terminal. Easy to get to by public transport, we'd got the train to St Davids, then the bus from outside the station which stops right outside the terminal. The only downside, if you have no transport there isn't anywhere near to eat. The room is comfy with everything you need for a night, very quiet too. Would definitely stay here again if flying from Exeter.

Lovely big clean room and space, lots of parking, about 10 yards from the airport but still nice and quiet. Lovely managers/staff - thanks for the taxi recommendation, cute puppy cuddles and chasing us down to make sure I had my water bottle on a super hot day! Really would recommend

The Room was really Large and very Clean Parking was really easy The Manager was really helpful and always available on the phone Due to Covid restrictions they are trying to have as little contact as possible so didn't actually see him Very easy to pick up the keys from the key box Disliked · The bed :( Considering how big the room was the bed was really small and really hard so the sleep was really uncomfortable After two nights of difficult sleep, we requested beddings for the sofa bed so one of us can sleep on it which might give us a better sleep but it wasn't provided I booked the hotel when I read the review that it was the best night's sleep they had had, perhaps they were on their own in the room and liked a firm bed. It wasn't the case for us.

I booked a room and it was clearly stated that payment would be taken at the end of my stay. The booking portel did state that a small payment will be taken and then reimbursed immediately to check that my booking was genuine and full payment will be taken after my stay. Fair Oak House Exeter Airport immediately took full payment from my card and when I tried to telephone them they picked up the receiver and immediately put the phone down. Eventually, out of worry and frustration I cancelled my booking. It has been now 2 days since I cancelled my booking but this awful establishment has still not refunded me my money. CLEARLY THE FAIR OAK EXETER AIRPORT IS NOT TRUTHFUL. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!

Getting the code for our key seemed a mission but it could have been a ********** issue and not Fair Oaks. Our room (7) was small especially with big suitcases but it was nice, traffic noise wasn't great from the road outside but we aren't used to it which probably made it worse. We were woken up at 0300 by a loud noise that sounded like water pressure in the house which wasn't great and overall didn't sleep that well with an early flight out to Majorca. Very random but the towels in the room were awful and felt so co**** to use, overall an ok stay which was chosen because the Hilton didn't have availability which was a shame.

Really good check in procedure after a very late flight. 2mins walk from the airport next to their excellent parking service and a nice clean and airy room. Comfy bed and even with the window open the road noise wasn’t too bad and certainly didn’t stop me sleeping.

Didn’t actually get to stay at the property as we turned up at 10pm and realised it’s just a private flat, no obviously signs / way to check in. We didn’t have check-in details, apparently it was on the invoice which was not obviously apparent when first received and then there’s no signal in the area to even check the invoice for said code. There were no sign of key boxes, no info on what room in the building we were meant to be staying in. After doing laps of the building and annoying a local resident who also lived in the building (as we accidentally walked into his private property) we decided to cut our losses and walk 20 mins in the pitch black to a Hilton near by & spend an additional £105, getting there at nearly 11pm. I’d avoid this property like the plague, yes seems like a great spot to be close to the car hire but it’s not worth the stress and tears. I can see from other reviews (wish I read them ahead of time) that people have experienced issues just like mine before, so I really have no idea why the owner doesn’t look into rectifying it!

Rooms are spacious and well presented. Minor gripes are sticky patch on the floor, plug not fitting in the bathroom sink and toilet the brush handle was snapped in half in one of the rooms.
