We stayed in this older style large sea front hotel for three nights on a B&B basis travelling by bus. The location of the hotel is ideally situated west of the pier making it an easy walk to the main centre or the the quieter western side of the town. The staff are helpful and friendly (see comments about the restaurant below). The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The public areas, lounges & bar, are comfortable and well laid out. We booked a sea view double room - and it was excellent. Despite being directly over the main entrance and opposite the lift there was no noise in the room at all - there was a little noise from the road, but it wasn't excessive. Our room was huge, with a separate shower room (although the shower door wouldn't close!) Note that a sea view room will be overlooking the green where exhibitions - with marquees - take place, and the sea is a little way away. The wifi was reasonably fast when it worked, but it kept dropping out and losing the login details. Breakfast was more than adequate with good hot options but limited 'continental breakfast options. We eat in the restaurant the evening we arrived - but because of the very slow service we only just managed one course before we had to get our booked taxi. The restaurant and breakfast are chaotic with lots of staff - they only seemed to be able to manage when the supervisors / duty managers weren't to be seen - the management seemed to be a hindrance to the smooth running! The hotel is expensive, but you do get what you pay for in this instance - and Easbourne isn't a cheap destination. Would be stay here again - certainly!
