I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and your team for a well organised and well delivered luncheon for us on Wednesday. Everything ran very smoothly and the staff were very affable and polite. The Garden room looked lovely and the table decorations were just right. The food was delicious and the staff very unobtrusive. There was a good delay between each of the courses and a last minute change by us was all handled very elegantly by your staff and no fuss made. Thank you for all your help and guidance through out the process. My mother would have been as delighted as we were by your provision for her final farewell. Thank you.

I booked a lunch for 48 people in the Garden Suite. Preparation beforehand was excellent and professional. The staff dealt with all my questions and changes to menu promptly and efficiently. On the day food and service were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

We are frequent visitors to The Hydro, both for Conservatory lunches and evenings in the Crystal Restaurant. The service in each case in both friendly and professional and the food is very reasonably priced and first class. We recently discovered the sole on the lunch menu, excellent. Pity it is not available in the evening.

This was our second stay at The Hydro Hotel, taking advantage of the spring break, and once again enjoying the complimentary pre dinner drinks and afternoon tea cake and tea. We stayed in room 308 with a side view of the deep blue sea and sky. The room was spotless with everything we needed, including a pixilating television, something that often happens in hotel rooms – no matter. It was great to see some familiar faces in the Crystal Restaurant serving us their delicious food with smooth efficiency especially as the restaurant was busy. We had a great time and even had a game of putting, to the amusement of some of the other guests. Next time . . . . croquet! We will return next year!

From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. Our seasonal mini break had some lovely add-ons. Teacake and tea in the conservatory on arrival, yes please! Glass of wine before a delicious 3 course dinner, splendid :-) All of the staff "front of house" were friendly and quick to deal with any request. The housekeepers worked at lightning speed every morning while we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The garden is a great bonus, especially as we had a view of it from our comfortable room. Surrounded by leafy avenues and easy access to seafront gardens and the promenade, the Hydro is ideally situated for walking off all the calories we took on board.

Booked family lunch for mum's 99th birthday. Have stayed/dined here for previous family events and always impressed. Lunch in the conservatory for 12 was excellent. Good choice and attentive service. Mum was delighted by her celebratory 99th birthday card from the hotel.

My wife and I had an overnight stay at this hotel, which proved to be an excellent choice. Free car parking was available on site. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and very attentive. Rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. Usual tea, coffee and biscuits in room. Useful security safe too. Tried the outdoor heated swimming pool, which was very pleasant and the pool water temperature seemed just right. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast in The Crystal Restaurant, where the food was cooked to order and of a high standard. We had lunch in The Conservatory and again, the food and service were top class. This hotel is within very easy reach of the beach, main town and pier. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose and we're certainly happy to recommend this fine establishment.

This hotel is clean and comfortable. We had a twin room with sea view. The only thing which could be improved in the room is the size of the safe which is not big enough to hold an ipad or laptop. The food and service is excellent. However when we arrived at 6.40 pm and had to eat at 7.00 pm due to an event taking place, there was no porter available. As we had a lot luggage this would have been a great help. All in all we had a great stay and we will certainly return again.

First class hotel. The check in was quick as was check out. The room and bathroom was spotless, very comfortable beds and a nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom. The food at breakfast and dinner were delicious and served on hot plates. There was plenty of choice, something for everyone. We had lunch in the lounge area and again, the food was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful!
