A five-star hotel near the sea, with a very classic taste, a hotel with a strong British culture, and the only five-star hotel in Eastbourne. highly recommended.

We were just passing and popped in the bar for a drink and snack. We were looked after by Etienne. What a fabulous member of your team. Friendly, chatty and looked after us so well! We were impressed by his cocktail making skills and he made a fab Kir Royale .

Superb. One night stay for an anniversary. Staff are all fantastic, can’t do enough for you, without being pushy. Special thanks to Matthew who was a star. Spa is glorious. Shame there is no sauna but the treatments were amazing. Skin feels soft. We dined in the Mirabelle, food was exquisite with excellent service,

Amazing hotel. You really feel special when you stay at the Grand in Eastbourne. Particular shout out to the front of house staff (concierge, porter, waiter at breakfast, waitresses at high tea) who went out of their way to look after us. The room was super comfortable, the bar and lounges are wonderfully elegant. Only watch out is that prices are not cheap, so if you are planning a few drinks in the bar, expect a 5* bill. Most important question, would we return? Without a hesitation, yes. Thank you to the staff at the hotel, my wife and I have added some wonderful memories as a result of your excellent work.

We were staying in the are for a few days and decided to treat ourselves. Afternoon teas can be very varied, and I hate it when they mess with a traditional success. They didn't here, and it was excellent. We had 2 x traditional afternoon tea, 1 x savoury afternoon tea, 1 x kids afternoon tea. All excellent, all finished. Friendly, helpful staff, quick service, bit faded but I like that! Recommended!

Booked an afternoon tea, unfortunately I booked the Grand Brighton by mistake. However we were fitted in and looked after by Candice who was extremely helpful as were all of the staff who attended us. An enjoyable afternoon, sandwiches, cakes etc were excellent.

Fantastic Hotel with staff everywhere and predominantly attentive and effective. However the evening meal was unsatisfactory major malfunction on the order resulted in the wrong dishes being served and people finishing before others had arrived. A wholesome apology was offered but that was it! Also if you wish to place the white wine beyond reach please be attentive and serve it, had to ask for refills several times which is embarrassing. We are eating here again tomorrow so will provide an update, hopefully positive

I bought my husband £90 voucher for Sunday lunch in Garden Reataurant well...17 minute wait for starter,30 minute for mains...why all male waiters by the way.? Bill arrived (we were there 3 hours) for £50 !!!!!!for (extra to voucher)for a tea,coffee and water!!! On querying this reduced as IT WAS a mistake £22. Connor the manger could not cope. Luke the waiter was the best What a shambles. Food was good,by the way.
