I got a lovely room upgraade from single to double. Very spacious, shower was temperamental. Breakfast excellenta, small but perfectly formed and tasted delicious. Will come back.

Second stay. I understand the property changed hands last year, so they are still in transition. I like the east of parking and it is a great location. Friendly hosts! But a few things looked broken and not as a clean as I would like.

Lovely new owners very pleasant nothing to much trouble breakfast was perfect fast an efficient walking distance to town for shopping and restaurants plus parking rooms nice was showed around on arrival which was real nice you could use breakfast area if you wanted to bring food back

The location is about 10 mins walk from the train station but private parking is an added bonus. The staff were friendly and home from home. Happy to use their items and have a glass of wine in their lounge. Room was a great size. Location was awesome! Close to the beach, shops and theatres. Good choice at breakfast and made to order. Would really recommend if you're staying in eastbourne. Good value for money.

I stayed at The Sheldon a few years ago and it was OK. When I booked recently for a two night stay I found that new owners had taken over less than a year ago and that they had refurbished the hotel. On arrival I was greeted by particularly friendly staff and given a short tour to show me the improvements that had been made. The decor is bright and cheerful and my single room was absolutely fine. The breakfasts were cooked to order with a choice of other nice goodies. The Sheldon is in a very central location but on a quiet street and has the added benefit of their own car park. I'll be back !
