Absolutely NO!!!! I stayed here trusting the best western brand. From immediately after we checked in until our early departure nothing but red flags. We attempted to stay here thinking we didn’t need a whole lot of frills this trip because we had a busy schedule. There were ants to the point of having to brush them off my water bottle as we were bringing our stuff in . After we got settled I went to move my bag and two large roaches fell off it. Called the front desk who offered to put me on the second floor because “ground floor is easier to access for roaches” *** at this point it’s 1am amd kids are tired I requested to be able to cancel the rest of our stay without penalty. I was told the GM approved that but would not issue any rewards points for the inconvenience. Disappointed but whatever. After that my card was still charged and no one could tell mem anything kind of played hot potatoe with me until I called corporate. GM never called or conveyed any apology for charging my card or is having to move but he did supposedly respond to my customer care ticket. Bottom line Don’t stay

Although the location of the hotel is far from the city, it is very convenient to drive. There is a gas station next to it. The price of oil is not expensive. The accommodation environment is generally the same. The big bed room we booked is not a non-smoking room. The smoke inside is very big. It feels like a smoke when you sleep for a night...

I have lived in San Diego for over 25 years and finally stayed at the Sycuan Hotel that is on the grounds of the ******. I was given a complimentary stay of two nights in a deluxe king room and decided to go and get out of town for a couple days. At arrival into the room my first impression was that it was nice enough with warmish tones. The room was clean and standard for the price. Soon after, I noticed my room window opened up only about three feet and rest of the wall was concrete. They try to upsell you to a balcony room, but I guess that means a full-size window too. I had asked for a quiet room, and although I was given a room near the stairwell, I was also given a room on the valet and street side. I could hear the buses coming and going throughout the late night even at six stories up. The bed was okay, a little on the firm side, but their pillows are not supportive . They are those down-alternative pillows and when you put your head on them your head just sinks right to the bed. So my neck was really sore after the first night. If you're a side-sleeper you know what I mean. They should invest in some better, more supportive pillows. I also got cold in the night since the blanket is pretty flimsy. Another con was that they don't have a coffee maker in the room. I mean, come on, even the Motel 6 has a coffee maker. They give you two cheap plastic cups though to keep you in check (just like the Motel 6) and four tiny water bottles. I guess they want you to go downstairs and fork over six bucks for a morning coffee each day. They also have a reminder of how much each item in the hotel costs, should you decide to steal it. I was reminded that I was in El Cajon with that. Let's talk about emergencies...There is an emergency alarm and smoke detector up high toward the ceiling. The upper apparatus pulses a bright light continuously every 20 seconds or so . I swear the thing would shine through my closed eyelids if I was turned to face that wall while trying to fall asleep with the uncomfortable pillows. And speaking of emergencies, the hotel tripped some emergency alert drill at 7:45 AM the first morning I was there. It squelched loudly in each room several times and blurted ”There is an emergency in the hotel! Exit the hotel and do not take the elevators!” Maybe not word for word but it was something like that. Either way it was not pleasant and the lady across from me said it woke her up from the deepest sleep she'd had in months. Turns out it was just a test or something. False alarm or hotel routine testing, management needs to inquire into that episode. You actually had lots of guest making their way down the stairwells in the entire hotel to go outside in the cold first thing in the morning. So that's my review. I don't think I'll ever go back to that hotel, or that ******. The ****** has weak payouts on all of their video poker games (could not find a single 9-6 payout on Jacks or Better), the pit bosses don't give you comps for fo

Just an average hotel. It's clean, but tired. Beds are fine, bathrooms are fine, and pool is fine. You'll sleep fine here, but I probably wouldn't return to it and would rather try a Holiday Inn Express or Best Western instead. Pool - It looked ok, but pretty cold (checked in Feb). The hot tub is more of a warm tub. If I had small kids, I bet they'd take a quick dip in the 77-78 degree larger pool and then hang out in the hot tub. Breakfast - Seems like the standard fare of eggs from a mix, muffins, bagels, and the oh so favorite of absolutely no one, red delicious apples. Why are those at every single hotel free breakfast. Would have loved to have seen something special or different at this hotel. We ended up going out to somewhere else for breakfast. Rooms - Clean, but kind of out dated. Bathroom had a bit of mold in the calking, but overall it was fine. Internet - I'm typing this review on the provided free internet. I'm getting 3Mbit down and 4Mbit up so not exactly the fastest, but it will let you type up TripAdvisor reviews. Google Maps struggles to draw directions and FaceTime doesn't work that well. Might be a variety of reasons so your milage may vary. Parking - By far my biggest complaint. There is tons of parking everywhere. I don't know how anyone would get here unless they had a car. They charge $5 per night to park at the hotel. There is no value add here except what feels like a money grab. I suppose you could park at a nearby business park, but parking at the hotel is probably your best bet. Why not just wrap the charge into the room rate? They don't provide any sort of added security and there's no shortage of spots available.

I found that there were hair on the towels and no shampoo, but they could all be resolved. The room is large, has a microwave oven, is close to the road but has good sound insulation, new facilities, breakfast is better than the Sheraton at the back, but the serving time is shorter. Now I figured it out. The hotels with the suffix BY marriot, byhillton, by, etc., are not the big room wives of these big hotels. They just put a name, but sometimes they are more real. The hotel's strength is concentrated on accommodation, eating, and safety. , Easy access and other core areas, not the appearance of the lobby, bar, and service staff

The lady at the front desk has a very good service. She often smiles 😊 The environment is good, the room is large, the breakfast is varied and delicious. The attitude of the aunt who is doing hygiene is average. The room facilities I live in are small in the sewer. The bath water is so slow and slow. The bathtub is full of water while taking a bath. Then the toilet also saw it, and then changed a room, which was also a small sewer mouth, the bathtub was slow to walk, and the water was seen. Change rooms or change rooms from the second floor to the fifth floor, and an elevator was broken.

We stayed here for several nights and it was one of the best hotel stays we have had. The primary reason is it was QUIET! I never heard anyone in the rooms next door. I actually slept well. The new HIE you can hear the conversatinos being had in the other rooms. Nice, big bright bathroom and shower (not like the closets they have in the new HIE they are building) and FREE parking! Unheard of in Cali. The 4 stars is because breakfast was weak. Wish they had more fresh fruit, more variety and getting out of the driveway heafing to the highway is insane. You take your chances everytime you exit. Wish the hotel could petition the city for a light there so we could exit safey. Lots of resturants in the area, great Chinese right next door, Walmart and Target very close. We would stay here again 100%. Friendly front desk employees. Very responsive.

Our experience at this hotel was great, from checkin to follow up! We only stayed one night, but all of stay, plus our hurried departure, went very smoothly. Front desk reception is very welcoming. Our room was OK - I believe this is an older hotel, because the bathrooms are tiny. The room was impeccably clean. On our departure morning, we arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by Alice. She told us the price of the buffet breakfast was $20. per person, but asked if we were Marriott members. She took the time to go to the desk and check our status, and returned to tell us that our breakfast buffet was free. (Don't miss being greeted by Alice!). The buffet was much better than those you might experience at other hotel chains, and service was excellent - Alice was overseeing. We left in a rush, and I realized when we got to the airport that I had left my sweater. I called when we returned home and talked to Midge at Reception. Midge immediately put me on hold, and returned to say she had found the sweater and would mail it back to me. (Thanks to executive housekeeper Carina). We also received a personal email from Julie after our return, thanking us for staying with them. This hotel is just off a very busy Interstate, but is a real oasis. Again, the reception staff was most helpful to recommend restaurants nearby. You will feel like a very special person at the hands of the Sheraton staff.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times while visiting family in the area. Decent hotels aren’t easy to find in this area. This place was the best I could find for a somewhat reasonable rate. This time around I stayed for three nights and noticed how it’s gotten far too dirty to be acceptable. The bed and linens were fine but the couch needed a serious cleaning. The carpet was vacuumed but it desperately needed a good steam cleaning. The hotel manager really should take a look in the rooms from time to time to make sure dirt and stains are being cleaned. There was cockroach on the bathroom floor on one of my midnight bathroom visits. I wore sandals from then on while in the room. I realize cockroaches can be anywhere but it was still a little alarming. The parking lot can be just plain ridiculous at times. The lot behind the hotel backs right up to a homeless encampment so I didn’t feel comfortable parking back there. The front parking lot gets inundated from customers going to the Inn N Out burger drive thru next door from late afternoon until well into the evening. The endless stream of cars block the parking spaces so it’s extremely difficult to park at this time of day. Three nights cost $710 for just one person! That’s far too much money for the reasons listed above! I won’t be back if things don’t improve. On a positive note, the front entrance staff was great. They were all very warm and welcoming! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They also have breakfast which was fine and good coffee which was appreciated!
OOC_M_LuIt seemed we reserved the last available room in the city of El Cajon for 1 night on a Saturday night. We had zero expectation and frankly expected a dump because of the horrendous reviews. Check-in was fast, lobby has 2 chairs, a table with coffeemaker and a rack full of San Diego tours and flyers. They issue only 1 key to the room and another key to the Super 8 motel next door if we need ice. True story. Parking is tight but free. Our room was on the 1st floor. Building has 2 floors with no elevator. Inside the room is a king bed with no headboard, 4 pillows, wood floors, microwave, mini fridge, safe, sink outside of the bathroom, hairdryer, TV and a disgusting old chair that has seen better days. The whole place could use a makeover. Bring your own toiletries. Towels and toilet paper are thin. We were afraid to avail of the free breakfast. Hot water and shower pressure worked great; AC was cold; there were multiple electric outlets; WiFi was fast and even if location is on a main street we weren’t bothered by noise. We were allowed to check-out at 11:30am. It was okay for a quick overnight stay to avoid a DUI.
CchillDays inn hotel in el Cajon city of San Diego County is one of the best hotels available in city of el Cajon so 👌 good choice and there is an Starbucks and Dennys so chevron gas station and market and on the left side of the hotel walking no more then 400 meters there is an restaurant and am.pm gas station and liquor store and market
The check-in and check-out processes were efficient , and the front desk staff were courteous. Navigation to the room was straightforward due to the property's manageable size. Although the room had a slight residual smell of smoke, the staff accommodated my request for a non -smoking room by having me sign a form. While there was a minor issue with towel replenishment , the staff readily assisted when requested. Despite the hotel's location outside the city center, convenient motorway connections facilitated easy access to key attractions. Overall, it's a suitable choice for those seeking comfortable accommodations without luxury amenities. The bed Wi-Fi, and breakfast met my basic needs satisfactorily .
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. The atmosphere around the hotel is ok. There is a Jack in the box, a bank,The Golden Coral,a car dealer, a local store, and numerous places to eat at within 2 blocks. The gas station/store is open 24 hours in within walking distance. I frequently stay at this hotel,I have health issues, and the staff accommodates me very well. I always have clean linen, the water pressure to take a shower has been very adequate. The maids come and clean every other day. My 2 dogs love it when we stay at this location.I stay to myself and very rarely do I get bothered by anyone. The management staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel maintenance is quick to fix any problems that may arise. The maids ,I have always received excellent service. Even if they seem to be having a rough day they will give you a smile. I frequently utilize the service at the hotel. Very pet friendly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay. Thank you Dawn Disney
