Karuna El Nido Villas

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile at reception. We were taken to our room and our luggage unloaded for us. Due to arriving quite late we went to the bar / restaurant and had some traditional food which was amazing. Morning 1 we had an island hopping tour booked so we were out early and didn’t use the hotel until later that evening when we popped into the bar for a couple of drinks before bed. The following morning we ordered breakfast to our room which was served in good time and was also delicious. Was such a nice setting having breakfast on our balcony overlooking the sea, an amazing view. We spent most of the afternoon by the pool as it was my partners birthday and she just fancied a chill day. Whenever we went to the bar to order more drinks they told us to just ring the buzzer at our sunbed table and they would come and take our order. We thought that it wasn’t any trouble for us to come and order drinks ourselves to save the staff coming up and down the stairs, but they insisted that it was no problem whatsoever. Later that evening the staff gave my partner a slice of cake for her birthday which I thought was an extra special touch as we had not expected it, again they went above and beyond. The next morning we had breakfast on the balcony again before checking out and making our way back to the airport. From start to finish our stay here was amazing and if we were to come back then we will definitely be booking this hotel. We stayed in the stargazer room which is the most unique and picturesque room we have stayed in, for a very reasonable price. Although all of the staff here are friendly, we would like to send extra thanks to Rodge, Lemer, Jane, Wilma, Cyra and R.V

Very lovely room, awesome views. Tiring to go up but worth it. Staff is very professional and kind and awesome. Awesome service, and great communication. They make sure everything is going good.

Overall, our stay was disappointing. The staff were always friendly and polite, but unfortunately the service did not match the standard we expected. Breakfast was a daily challenge. Communication was often difficult, orders were frequently incorrect, and service was surprisingly slow, even when the restaurant was not busy. We were informed that a 10% service charge would be applied, but were ultimately charged 15%, which was disappointing. We stayed in the Joglo 2 room, where the balcony door was damaged and could not be properly closed. Despite reporting the issue, it remained unrepaired for four days. In addition, the coffee capsules that were supposed to be replenished daily were not replaced for three consecutive days. The worst part, however, was being charged 300 PHP for a broken wine glass. The amount is small, but charging guests for an accidental breakage of a basic item after already collecting a service charge and security deposit felt unnecessary and left a poor impression. While the staff were kind and well-intentioned, the combination of service issues, maintenance problems and unexpected charges significantly affected our experience. Unfortunately, this was well below the standard we expected for the price paid.

We loved this place, with ocean view, very comfortable and authentic! Cars from hotel always helped to go up and down from studio to town. Really enjoyed, highly recommended!!!

It was so beautiful! Great service and amenities. A bit confusing with the pick ups from downtown, they immediately fixed it.

I didn’t feel like leaving! This place is a gem. It’s nestled on top of a small hill with mind blowing views. The room (Joglo 5) had spectacular views from the balcony and was very well equipped. It was clean, comfortable, bright, and spacious. The infinity pool and restaurant were the icing on the cake. Beautiful sunsets and vibe! Service was also excellent - thanks to Wilma, RV, Maggie, Lemer, Geo, Lester, Ellen, the Chef, and all others!
