Main reason I booked this particular Hostel in El Nido was off the back of reviews. Wow… I was not disappointed. There’s very little not to like when looking for a Hostel on a paradise island. I had a terrific time. The staff at The Outpost are what makes this place so special. All genuinely friendly and good people. Big shout outs to both Francis’, Levi and JC. Daily tours and nightly events all arranged. A great kitchen and bar. Spectacular views, especially the sunset. Comfortable beds. I’d highly recommend.

A friend recommended outpost to me and I'll intend do same to anyone looking for good place to stay while in El Nido .From the moment I arrived ,the warm reception to every day spent here .Helpful and kind service ,good food,nice views ,many activities organised there which was great for a solo traveller like me. I would totally come stay here again if I had another chance to visit Palawan . Thank you.Thank you outpost

Loved this hostel, right on the beach. All the staff are super friendly and the place is always kept clean. Rooms have AC and a fan although the AC is only switched on in the early evening until late morning. The food & drink is pricey compared to other places in the town however I guess you are paying for the convenience of not having to get a trike to the main town. I would stay here again if I revisit El Nido.
Would love if they could add a pool table or dart board.

Great party hostel with lots of events and very good well trained staff.
The location is ten minutes by tuk-tuk to town so isn’t the best but in return you do get to chill right on the beach.
The food and drinks at the bar are amazing but they are a little more expensive than downtown el nido.
The beds and the bathroom facilities are clean and well looked after with plenty of bum guns to sort you out after eating a bad meal in town.
The entrance and exit could do with improving especially at night as you have to get in from the beach which isn’t ideal at night when there is a high tide and/ or loads of rabid dogs barking and running toward you.

The best hostel around. Amazing activities, from the daily island hopping tours to the evening games. Great kitchen with delicious food and good drinks. Comfortable and clean rooms with a great location and incredible sunset view.
But the best thing about outpost is the staff. Always on hand to make your stay better, forever happy and engaging. Really the best group of people that I will never forget.

I had the best time in this hostel. From the comfortable bed to the daily activities. Also the boat trips were really cool and made the interaction easy for solo travelers. Really recommend and hope to come back soon. Many thanks to all Outpost’s crew!

I stayed at this hostel 4 nights on 12 bed room. Good place to party, nice view and far from town. You must take a tricycle or rent a motorbike. Wifi not so good. there is no wifi inside the room and no line connection. They have island hopping tour, van transport etc. Also have restaurant down there. Overall i will stay here just for sleep.

Good facilities and location but rude staff. They act friendly to guests in English and then complain about them in Filipino. Receptionist didn’t realise my partner speaks Filipino and she complained about us to her colleagues at check out because we took long to leave the common areas, all while smiling at us and waving us goodbye... bear in mind we needed to leave the room at 11 and our flight wasn’t until 6 pm. In the meantime we ordered breakfast and lunch from their restaurant (so we kept paying) as advised by her, but then when we left apparently she was not happy with us staying until 3pm in the restaurant and complained very loudly to her colleagues in filipino. A shame, as it really ruined our experience there and left us leaving with a really sour taste in mouth.

Unbelievable staff and atmosphere. It's the nicest set of staff I have ever encountered maybe anywhere in the world. The atmosphere of the hostel from sunset til the bar closes is so much fun too. We did the Castaway tour from Coron to El Nido as well with Outpost, and the whole trip was amazing and staying at this hostel too was just fantastic. Cannot recommend Outpost enough especially if you want to meet people.

Joined the A+ tour organised through Outpost. We had not long done a 4 day expedition with Big Dream Boatman so we had been spoiled for empty beaches. So this tour was a bit of a shock and disappointment. The places we visited were lovely but very busy. We visited Seven Commandos Beach, Big Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Entalula Island and Payong Payong. Only one spot was good for a snorkel. The rest were all beaches or a kayak excursion. Food was included we hadn’t been feeling well so stayed safe with vegetables and noodles. At the end of the trip on the way back the crew got everyone involved in drinking games. You could buy beers from the crew which kept them in a water cooler. At the hostel we were then given a welcome drink and drank together. Snorkels, mask and life jackets provided.
