El Nido Garden Resort

The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the town center and close to the beach, plus it has a private pool. Breakfast was good too, with a decent buffet spread that even my Chinese palate enjoyed. The room itself was quite spacious, though I couldn't see the beach, probably due to its orientation. Facilities and cleanliness were decent; the showerhead wasn't working great initially, but they sent someone to fix it promptly, and the service was good. There's a separate spa hut within the property for massages, which was clean, hygienic, and had a lovely ambiance. The service was excellent, and while the prices were a little higher than outside, they were still acceptable, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it.

The hotel is lovely, with comfortable beds and pillows. The staff are excellent. However, there are a few areas for improvement: the pool loungers are incredibly uncomfortable – they could really use some cushions or something as they're very hard. The pool water was also a little murky. The buffet breakfast is quite limited, offering only three types of fruit, three different breads, a salad bar, and a hot food section with Filipino-style dishes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. One day we requested a packed breakfast and received just a sandwich and an orange. The gym also needs to be cleaned more frequently.

The view from the pool was amazing! It's a shame that the view from our room was just the hotel next door, maybe we just picked the wrong room.

A magnificent hotel, very clean and beautiful, and the staff were incredibly attentive, helping us find parking near the hotel every day. It's close to El Nido's main tourist street, but the beach isn't suitable for swimming; you'll need transport to get to those.

I had a cottage right across from the pool with a corner view of the bay. The hotel's location is excellent. The room was great, I especially loved the painting of the wave. Housekeeping came daily when the 'please make up room' sign was out. Breakfasts were varied and delicious, served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The hotel also has a wonderful spa on site offering Thai massages. I'm lowering my rating because of the staff. I would have liked more attention paid to guests and their needs and requests.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, but everything inside felt dirty and poorly maintained. Initially, we were put in a room overlooking vents and a noisy street, even though we had specifically requested a quiet room when booking. The hotel was accommodating and moved us to a different room. However, I have to say, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear everything happening outside very clearly. Especially the motorcycles going by and the rooster crowing in the mornings! The cleaning was terrible – everything was dusty and grimy. And they'll only clean your room if you remember to hang the 'make up room' sign on the door. Breakfast was a letdown; the selection was very limited. The cheese was awful and clearly the cheapest kind. There was no cold cuts or ham. Breakfasts here felt more like lunch or dinner. You're better off going to local cafes for breakfast. On the positive side, the location is good, and the pool area is beautiful with a fantastic view. This hotel might be suitable for a short stay, but definitely keep the aforementioned issues in mind.

I really loved this hotel. The location is excellent, and the service is top-notch. The spa was wonderful. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. The villa by the pool was exceptionally chic, with a few minor issues with the water and sewage, but everything was quickly fixed. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time!
