Where to begin. If I wasn’t 6 hours into a 12 hour trip for school I would have drove back home. It’s that bad. So I understand the concept that you get what you pay for so the bathroom is small and the TV is small and that’s fine given that I paid roughly $72. But there are some minimum expectations that this hotel does not meet. Within the first 20 minutes of me being on the bed I had to fix the “fitted” sheet numerous times. The sheets are old and the elastic is worn out. The brown “bedspread” has a white crusty substance on it. The safety latch is missing off of the door. The clock was five hours off when I arrived. When I went to turn on the lamp, there was no lightbulb in there. The pillows are flat and old. They put me in room 303, which is by itself next to the vending machines next to the maintenance closet. I don’t know what they were doing about 9 o’clock but I was trying to fall asleep and I could hear them messing around in there I could hear people coming in out of elevators. The walls are paper thin. There is damage to the carpet by my door. When I called to make my reservation, I called the sleep in call center directly and I informed them that I would be bringing a service dog with me. They informed me that I had to provide medical paperwork. That’s illegal, and it is a violation of federal law. But I had no intention on arguing with them instead I just brought the doctors notes that I had to provide my disability office at school since I already had them. When I arrived at the hotel, I went to give them to the cashier and she said she didn’t need them . And I told her that was funny “because the call center told me that I had to bring them, but that’s illegal anyway.” Also, when I was on the line with a call-center, my representative asked me to hold onto to listen to a vacation offer. Which I did not want to listen to anyhow, but I did. About 30 seconds into it a woman picks up and I told her “Oh I’m sorry I don’t know what happened. The man told me to stay on to listen to an offer” she proceeded to be very rude to me. That should’ve been my first sign to cancel this reservation. She said “well that’s what this is.” And I tried to explain to her that I wasn’t interested in hearing about the vacation offer but thank you. And she kind of laughed, and said “Without even finding out what it is?” And I said “Yes thank you goodbye.” She proceeded to say, “ so you’re not interested and you don’t even know what it is?” Again. And I said “Yes now goodbye and hung up the phone.” as a social worker, I stay in about 10 hotels a month and this was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. The hotel is just generally disgusting never again I assumed because the Sleep In located in my hometown is decent that this one would be too, but that is not the case it is not worth your money. Truly, when you get inside your room, you will realize that they’re charging about twice as much as the room is worth. It’s not much above a cheap old, ra
