I prepaid and booked the hotel for 2 nights. I did not check-in the 1st night of my reservation. When I tried to check-in the 2nd day of my reservation, I was told that my booking had been canceled even though I had already paid for 2 nights. The hotel assistant manager asked to see the card i used for the reservation and charged me another $74 for the room I had already paid for. I am.now waiting for a refund from trip.com since my booking was honored.

Positives: The housekeeping in Room 418 did an excellent job, super clean. Easy parking. Clean lobby and common places. Fast check-in and check-out. Breakfast was great, good variety, fresh, with good balance of hot and cold foods. Clean and organized. When Room 311 was terrible, they moved me to another room, Room 418, and 418 was a good experience. Clean bedding, two full rolls of toilet paper, and two tea bags in the room. Negatives: Can be noisy because it's next to a major highway. The check-in staff did not provide info on breakfast time or instruction to the elevator; also provided incorrect info about location and type of the room (said it's not near the elevator when it's right across from the elevator; said it's standard room when it's an accessible room). Room 311 was horrible - full of issues such as broken toilet/couldn't flush, bathroom plug was shut, couldn't open. Room telephone did not work; A small peel along the edge of the wall, that needs to be sealed back. Loose carpet, posing a potential trip over danger if not careful. This hotel would have earned at least 4.0 rating with Room 418. But because of terrible Room 311, which is a 1.0 rating, although the hotel tried to fix it, but it's inconvenient and tiring to have to go through it while traveling and after a long day. Because of inconsistent room quality, I am hesitant to recommend this hotel.

The hotel is under renovation, so the entire property looks bad. The room we stayed in was dirty. It looked like the beds had been made and towels placed in the room, but otherwise, no cleaning had been done. The floors were dirty, with crumbs and stains on the carpet and loose hair and dirt on the tile. The broken bar of soap on the edge of the bathtub alerted us that the tub was dirty, so we skipped taking a shower in that room. Although it was a non-smoking room, it smelled of stale tobacco smoke. There were loose sugar and creamer packets on top of the microwave. Outside, there was trash scattered all over. Yes, we realize that the property is being renovated, but this is not an excuse to leave trash on the ground. We stayed, but only because it was late and we did not want to risk being unable to find another room. The clerk when we checked in was polite and professional. That's the best we can say about this location.

Over the years I’ve stayed at many El Paso hotels however in the last few years this has become my favorite. It is also one of the nicest La Quinta’s I’ve stayed at. There are a number of La Quinta’s in El Paso., This one is the La Quinta Inn & Suites East, @ Yarbrough on gateway east. Anyway cleanliness is #1 and the rooms in this hotel are spotless. Bed’s are very comfortable, fixtures & furnishings look great! . Location is excellent with fast access to I-10 east & west and + quick drive to the airport. Walk a few feet over to Applebee’s to get a bite & have a drink without having to drive. The quality of a hotel usually starts at the top & Hotel manager CINDY is fabulous! .. she’s friendly, sharp & does an excellent job keeping this hotel looking great! The Hilton Garden Inn at airport was one of the best Hilton stays I've had. the staff was responsive and available whenever we needed them. The managers were accommodating to my group needs, and went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of. The room had mold,holes in the wall smelled like smoke. The worker Jocelyn refused to do a refund. They messed up the names on the reservation after confirming,they gave a huge run around rather than fix the issue. I am still pending my refund but you better off staying in a ditch than this placeUpdate:manager is dodging calls and still has not issued a refund, but will continue to follow up until issued already reached out to corporate but will do it again.

Booked two nights here while in town for a funeral. Stood waiting at the desk for 10 minutes for someone to appear to check us in, and when he did show up there was no apology for the delay. The first issue was that they couldn't find our reservation. We booked a king size room, thinking it would be a little larger than room for the bed but alas this was not the case. It was a king size bed, but there wasn't anywhere to even put a suitcase down. In addition, there were two measly standard size feather pillows on the bed, along with a ”decorative” pillow. The only item in the bathroom was conditioner (not sure why conditioner), and the water never got hot. The internet did not work in our room, and staff had no idea what to do to fix it and offered no solutions. We ended up checking out after just one night, and while it was late, about 3 pm, the front refused to check us out until the next morning, saying ”if I check you out now, it will show the room as available and it's not.” It was overall not an experience I would care to repeat and will find different accommodations if we find it necessary to return to El Paso.
