Oh dear. This hotel forgot to move with the times...very dated and basic as it gets. I won't say youth hostel basic but pretty grim. Somehow you know what you're getting when you get handed a door key on a pendant and asked to submit your breakfast requirements the night before. Really basic room and a pretty grim breakfast room...I thought I was back in the 80's. Decent Wifi to be fair and given a code to enter if arriving after 23:00.

Best hotel in Elgin. They have fabulous cocktail menu - perfect for a wee girlie afternoon. Their food menu is sooooo good. Look out for their afternoon teas - the cakes are fab. It is somewhere you can keep going back to for any occasion. The food is so fresh and very tasty.

My family surprised me with a delicious birthday afternoon picnic with platters of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and fancy cakes from the Laichmoray Hotel. Thank you Norma and staff for ding this at such short notice 😊 They have gone above and beyond as they always do.

Just had our Anniversary dinner absolutely amazing food , staff are all fantastic very attentive and efficient. So hard to get now a days well done to the whole team and thank you, for a great treat night with pleasant staff We have never ever had bad food there so good.

Just had another delicious meal here, can’t go past the Cajun chicken and the salads are a favourite with the family too. Lots of items on the main menu and great selection of desserts. Staff are so lovely and helpful. Always a pleasure to pop in past here.

Cannot fault this hotel at all. Friendly and helpful staff, good location for a whiskey tour, and rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast runs like a well oiled machine and nothing is too much trouble for any kind of request. Would recommend.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Close to the station and parking available on site. Not the most modern but comfortable and well organised. You pre-order your breakfast for the morning. Got everything I asked for and in a substantial portion.

Our 2 night stay was nice enough. We ate in the restaurant on the first night, which was good (wine list a tad expensive.) We had to order breakfasts the night before, these were hot and really nice, however it might be an idea to offer top ups of juice, tea and coffee and not wait for guests to ask. All staff were friendly. We were allocated a small double room at the side of the hotel and our view was not great - we looked onto a flat roof and what I think may have been the side of the function hall. At the time we stayed the hotel did not appear to be busy with guests, so If i could make a small suggestion, it would be to offer guests in your best available rooms, this may entice a future stay. Our room was however very clean and the small shower room was great.
