Asteris Hotel

godt hotel som base til opleve det sydlig del af Kefalonia.

This is my number one choice to take all my boys one at a time sometimes all of them at once . The atmosphere is great late at night not worrying bumping into anyone . And checking out early in the morning is not an issue .

The hotel keeps expanding but the feel and quality are always maintained. The rooms are great, pool/ bar area fantastic, staff wonderful and dining excellent - sometimes it's hard to drag yourself to the village to eat when the quality is so good at the hotel.

This was our 8th or 9th visit. Every time you go things have been expanded or improved but the management have the knack of maintaining the excellent customer and relaxing atmosphere. Views and recently retiled pool area are stunning as always. The rooms are always as described. The staff are excellent across the board. Breakfast is very good with more choice every year. Daytime snack bar is very good. Evening service is excellent with one or two Greek specials produced on-site during the afternoon by two local chefs. Walid the waiter is a new addition and just superb. It's a bit of a wrench to eat in town due to this! Will definitely return again!

From the moment we arrived we just knew it would be a great holiday. Our room and view were amazing. Bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets smelled so good! ALL Staff couldn't do enough for you. They really were pleasant and helpful. We found this hotel to be perfect for our needs as a couple exploring the island. And what a beautiful island Kefalonia is. Highly recommended and would absolutely return in the very near future.

We have just spent 11 nights at the Asteris hotel in skala, lovely room fab aircon and amazing views down into town. Every member of staff works so hard and nothing is too much trouble, the owner and his family work tirelessly to make sure everyone has a great stay. Never any shortage of sun beds or towels and the pool area is spotlessly clean . Food in the restaurant is made fresh every day and is lovely . Great holiday and an all round great family run hotel

Wonderful hotel, amazing views and immaculate room. I visited with my husband and son for two weeks. We had an amazing time and wanted somewhere to relax after my husband had recently been ill we needed to unwind...we definitely had a fantastic, relaxing time. Our room was fantastic, large enough for the three of us and cleaned daily. Would highly recommend.

We came for a week in August to this stunning hotel and had an amazing time. We had a new deluxe double and it was huge, with a side area with a chaise longue and dressing table. The room was immaculate (thank you to our wonderful cleaner!!) and the view was absolutely incredible!! The vibe at the hotel is fantastic, with a lovely pool area (lots of sun loungers so you never have to fight for them), great food and fantastic staff. All the staff we encountered were amazing and couldn't do enough to help you. Special thanks to Harriet, who is an absolute credit to the hotel and such a friendly, lovely person - thanks for the special salad with gouda cheese, Harriet!! The location is just outside of Skala but the owner runs a free shuttle bus each day into Skala at different times, which is great. We hired a car for a couple of days and also went on a boat cruise to the incredible island of Ithaca - Kefalonia is such a gorgeous island and is well worth exploring. We also met some lovely couples on our trip at our hotel, many of which had been coming to the Asteris for many years, and we can see why! Two tiny tips...a mirror above the dressing table would have been handy and also more coat hangers 😊 We had an amazing holiday and can't wait to return - we would definitely choose the Asteris in a heartbeat!!
