Motel 6 Elizabeth, NJ - Newark Liberty Intl Airport Reviews

Had to wait more than an hour, before the shuttle finally showed up. Room was cold without any heating, and bed covers were very thin. i froze all night !!!! And to top up the already bad experience,I had to wait an hour until the shuttle finally arrived... And the staff did not mention anything about where to wait for it... So I had already missed one because rthe shuttle did not stop infront of the motel.. Never again Motel6, for this quality place we don't pay more than 30€ in France...

No complaints! Easy to get an Uber to from the airport, room had a microwave and fridge. Was clean when I entered.

It’s good if you just need something close to airport and cheap other then that I give it a 1.

The facility is dirty, customer service is horrible and I would recommend saying there I understand it is a motel but there was holes in the wall I requested a non smoking room and it still had the smell like someone was smoking. And the rooms don’t look like what is advertised on the website…. I didn’t even stay the night. I have for thirty minutes until I could find another hotel…. Trying to figure out how to get my money back!!!! Don’t stay here!!

I wouldn’t say this place is exactly family friendly. It looked a little scary, but in the end, we just needed a place to stay that was on the cheaper side. It’s definitely not worth the price. Check in was easy. There’s free parking for guests (if you can find parking), but the rooms were basic. I booked a king size bedroom, but we got 2 double beds. It could be because we arrived late and they gave our room away. The place was pretty full. It is really convenient if you are travelling from Newark Liberty Hotel because it’a only 5 minutes away. You can take the metro into the city or drive (the drive is about 40 mins into New York City). They are also pet friendly. Room service doesn’t seem to be available while the stay. I guess if you are staying long term you can ask for towel replacement and whatever else. There wasn’t a hot tub like the pictures showed, but the bathroom does have a tub. They provide towels and soap, so bring your own things including a hair dryer if needed!

I never give negative reviews. If the hotel experience at this hotel can be rated negative, it can be rated negative 10,000 points. The front desk actually arranged a room for me that was already occupied. In the middle of the night, I opened the door and went in, scaring the other person and myself into jumping. Later, I changed my card and moved to another room. The door could not be locked from the inside. The room smelled really bad and the bed was dirty! There are also zombie-like drunken black men wandering around the yard. There was someone knocking on the door and talking loudly next door in the middle of the night. Strongly request Ctrip to remove this listing!

The rooms were very sub par! The bathroom had no heat or linen ( they brought it after i asked) the tub was rusted! They are also running a park and ride so we had to fight for parking! And i saw a mouse run from one room to the next!

So my room wasn’t clean it had someone left over food in the microwave sheet was dirty so was the floor

I would not recommend this motel. The neighborhood seemed unsecured. When we checked out there was blood (and dirty clothes) on the floor in the reception. Also it’s very complicated to find a parking lot (despite the place being a motel), there’s definitely not enough parking lot for all the customers.

This place I would not recommend to my worst enemy. The staff was unfriendly. He broke a tip of my drivers license in his window. Parking is terrible as they are doing the park and fly. It was almost impossible to find a spot and we found one and then it was almost hard to get out in the morning because other vehicles were parked in the way the beds were clean, were OK but the room was dated. Bathroom was dirty the bathtub was dirty, the building itself is a dump . The staircase walking up the second floor is rusting away, which is to me a safety hazard at 1:30 at night couldn’t sleep because of the neighbours next-door with the thin walls were noisy and singing at the tell the front desk over the phone to get them to quiet down which they did a half hour later then at 3 o’clock in the morning someone was trying to get in our room and knocking on the door. This is a terrible hotel hotel.
