Elounda Heights (Adults Only)

This was our first visit to this hotel, having previously stayed at Elounda Garden Suites. We thought we’d try a different one for a change! We were happy with our decision. Elounda Heights is as the name suggests… on top of a big hill. The upside of this is the views which are spectacular. The downside can be overcome with a taxi - six euros to come up (we tipped so normally paid ten) and taxis easy to get in the square. We walked up three times in the day time and it’s doable but not easy. I also don’t recommend walking down in heels, did it once and not fun. So in balance the views are probably worth the effort and don’t let the hill put you off. We stayed in ‘Daphne’, a one bedroom apar**ent on the ground floor. It was comfortable, clean, spacious, good air con and fridge, lots of coat hangers, decent shower, amazing hair dryer. The hotel supplies towels for pool or beach which was a bonus. Breakfast was very good and extremely friendly, worth paying for. The water in the pool was chilly but it was all immaculate. Comfortable sun loungers. We ate in restaurant twice and it was enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this hotel. My husband is very keen to return next year!

Absolutely beautiful setting . Natalie and her team look after their customers exceptionally well. The breakfasts and food in the restaurant were high quality and delicious. They allowed us to get married in their garden and could not have been more helpful or kinder. Extra thanks to Ritsa in front of house for helping with this too! Our first visit to Elounda Heights , but they have a returning clientele for good reason . Very relaxed and a stunning place .

The Hotel is in a beautiful spot overlooking Elounda Bay. The staff are charming and friendly and go out of their way to make guests comfortable. The food is amazing and mostly comes from their own gardens. We cannot recommend it more highly.

We found Elounda Heights by chance, but such a lucky chance! It is truly an amazing place. We are just back from our 3rd stay and we are still as delighted with Elounda as we were on our 1st visit. The views are stunning and watching the sunrise from our balcony was magical. The restaurant setting is beautiful and the food cooked by Vangelis is sublime. Breakfast by the pool is another gastronomic delight. Everyone is so friendly, enveloping you as part of their extended family.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Natalia was always on hand and extremely friendly and helpful. We had left our travel adapter in our previous hotel and the staff very kindly sorted us another one with no trouble. Thank you so much. Our room was gorgeous. We were in Pan (superior studio with sea view). Fabulous view and a huge double level terrace. The room had a comfy bed with aircon and a fridge and cooker top. Everything you could need! We ate in the restaurant twice and the food prepared by Vangelis was superb at a reasonable price. No complaints. The pool area is very peaceful. Nice pool bar and comfortable sunbeds. We always prefer a beach and found a fabulous beach 25 mins away "Voulisma Beach" beautiful sandy beach as the one in Elounda is quite stoney and not the best sand. Absolutely loved Elounda what a beautiful resort. Could not have chosen a better hotel. It is just lovely. Yes there is a hill to climb to get to and from resort but take it easy and you can do it in 10 mins easy. The views from the hotel are worth it. Thank you Elounda Heights for a fabulous stay.

What a wonderful place, the most fantastic views, very comfortable rooms ( ours was a superior studio with terrace) , the beds very comfy, small kitchen with everything you could ever want, and the terrace was huge with two sunbeds and a table and chairs. The staff I cannot describe, excellent just isn’t good enough, attentive, respectful, caring, and they all work so hard to give you a memorable experience. The surroundings, pool, bar, cafe area, restaurant and gardens are lovely and there’s always a sunbed to be had in the main area at any time-of day. No wonder this place gets so much repeat business, you will never want to leave! There is a hill, we easily walked down, up is definitely taxing in the heat but so we often opted for the one of the many taxis at 6 euro, it was worth every penny! We ate in three times for dinner and it was excellent, Vangelis is a wonderful chef and it’s worth staying in for, although there are also many lovely places down the hill. Lunch by the pool bar was very reasonable, tasty and always served with a smile even when every table was taken and Chloe was run off her feet, they have a lovely a**osphere and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we will definitely come back and we rarely go anywhere twice! What can we say!! A fantastic holiday in a wonderful hotel that is made even better by all the staff. Great peaceful a**osphere around the pool with a fantastic view. Breakfast was a delight with the homemade jam, cakes etc plus everything else made fresh with great service from Demetra. George was a great character behind the bar…Good, Good!! Cleo who works at the pool bar was fantastic and gave us clues what she was making for breakfast the next day! You have try Katerinas cocktails in the bar at night along with great conversation. We ate in the evening twice at the hotel and the special we had each time was excellent.The room we stayed in was absolutely fantastic clean , plenty of space and a view to die for. The service from the staff is a reflection of Costas and Natalia who always had time to chat and help where needed. Yes the hill is steep but so worth it to have great views from your room and from the pool. Would we return? Without a doubt and will do so in the future. This was the 8th time we have been to Elounda Heights, and we still love it as much as the first time. From the moment we get out of the taxi, we are relaxed and happy, and greeted like old friends. The views from everywhere in the complex are truly stunning, and the gardens are beautiful. We have tried several rooms, studios and apar**ents, and for us the apar**ents are perfect as we like the extra space to spread out a bit. All the rooms are kept spotlessly clean by Christina, who always has a lovely smile and time for a chat. The whole complex is kept spotlessly clean and tidy. The pool area is very nice, with umbrellas for shade and comfortable sun beds to relax on. The pool bar is fabulous , with lovely drinks and a very tasty menu. It’s a great place to spend the afternoon having a drink and a catch up with friends. Clio is always attentive and cheerful and makes the best cakes and puddings ever! A favourite of ours is the lemon meringue. The pool area is also where you will see the board with the special food menu for that evening. You can order the special, or choose from the A la carte menu, or go into the village if nothing takes your fancy (highly unlikely). Vangelis, the original owner, cooks all the specials and the evening food from scratch using fresh ingredients and takes great pride in his creations, which are served in the restaurant which has beautiful views across to Spinalonga. The bar is a great place to meet up with other guests , and have an ice cold beer, or one or two of Katerinas fabulous cocktails. Nothing is too much trouble at Elounda Heights. Every member of staff has been perfectly appointed. Everyone is helpful and smiley, and there seems to be a great team spirit. Over the years we have needed help or advice and it has been given to us straight away. This year my wife was stung on her foot by a bee. Clio immediately helped her while I went down to the pharmacist. Unfortunately it ended up infected so we needed to see a Doctor. Then there were complications from the medication. All of the staff asked my wife how she was getting on every time they saw her, and the concern was genuine and heartfelt. I also needed some dental trea**ent and Natalie went above and beyond, finding a dentist for me and arranging the appoin**ent. Even dropped us off at the dentist, and then showed us a really nice place to go for lunch and where to go to get a taxi back to Elounda. To summarise, the location is beautiful, the food is delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive, Natalie, Kostas, and their family are fantastic , communication is always prompt, and if something goes wrong, it is great to know that you are in safe hands. If you haven’t been before, give it a try, I’m confident you will enjoy it, and that you will return.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the hotel and we both loved it! The rooms were basic but well equipped and very clean. They have a nice large balcony to relax on with both loungers and a table and chairs. The pool area is nice and relaxing with plenty of sunbeds (we never struggled to get one at different times in the day) and the pool bar offers a wide range of drinks, including some great cocktails! The view from all of the hotel is spectacular and well worth the walk up the hill from the village (or €6 taxi) We found the food at the hotel to be very nice. We ate breakfast which offered a wide range of selection, fresh fruit juice and coffee, and different Cretan treats each day which were delicious! We ate dinner on the last night and the food was good. They have a special on each day which always look great. The hotel bar is a nice place to have an after dinner drink with a great selection of cocktails which were lovely. There is also a pool table and board games to enjoy, or you can sit in the gardens and take in the view. Finally I come onto the staff and the service provided. We could not have asked for more from the staff they were excellent. This family run hotel really feels like the guests needs and enjoyment are a priority for all the staff. My girlfriend had a birthday whilst we were there and they organised a surprise cake and bubbles in the room at my request, which was wonderful. When we had a delayed flight they made sure getting to our room late night was as easy as possible and communication leading up to and throughout our stay was straightforward and cleared. I really felt like they would go above and beyond to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
