"10 day stay, got there in early hours met by chap named Alex, sat us down which we found strange? Had a big book out and other pre-filled documents, i.e. Room tax form, asked us to email Jet 2 hotel form to the hotel? Why I have no clue? All took time , it's late we are tired, can it not be done in the morning? Anyway we got to bed eventually, room was no107 right on top of pool and close to bar area, fairly basic smallish room with large comfortable double bed which took up most of the space, bathroom was good, shower great, room cleaned everyday, never cooked as we were b&b , has a toaster hob and fridge minimal utensils. First morning we went down for breakfast, only one other couple there, waited 35 mins for cooked full breakfast half of it cold other half was hot , tbf we didn't wait long on the rest of the days, but the quality wasn't consistent, sometimes good sometimes not. Found the prices at the bar were a little steep, certainly compared to neighbouring ones, when I did mention this to one of the chaps there it didn't go down well, but small 20cl Prosecco 12 euros??? Come on now? Seems to be chap named Nikos and lady Evelyn, I think? In the morning, and Alex did afternoon/evening, they are all friendly and speak good English, the pool area is very good with excellent comfy sunbeds and umbrellas, the sea front right outside which we had a few dips in it was ace! Lots of nice restaurants on the strip into main Elounda which is 10/15 mins stroll. The Alikes is in a really good spot but go self catering and try the other places for Brekkie. Also lastly there's the extras! 10 nights air con a whopping 96Euro! Safe 21 Euro , Room Tax 15 Euro, and late room checkout 40 Euro, total of 172 , in many years of coming to Greece easily one of the most expensive place we've stayed. Summing up there seemed to be guests there who have been before, would we go back? No."

"Lovely hotel location, the views from our room was lovely and it was a bonus to see from our balcony in the distance Spinalonga. Everyone in the hotel was friendly, especially cute Maria! The day we leaving, we are feeling very down, because the attitude changed and we didn’t have help to go with the suitcases in the main road to pick up the bus to the airport. The food very poor variety, lunch time and dinner time …..appeared the same food with different sauces. Definitely not worthy of doing a full board."

"I had an exceptional stay at INNSiDE by Meliá Elounda. From the moment we arrived, the front-of-house team ( especially Irini )made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm, professional, and attentive service. Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was outstanding, with a fantastic selection of fresh, high-quality food to suit every taste. It was the perfect way to start each day while taking in the breathtaking views over Elounda Bay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning scenery in every direction. Our room was spacious, stylish, and featured a gorgeous private plunge pool, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the incredible surroundings. Really enjoyed the very chic and tranquil gym . It’s about a 30 minute walk int Elounda town or 12 eur in a taxi. Hotel has only been open since May and everything is brand new The combination of excellent service, spectacular views, luxurious rooms, and an amazing breakfast made this a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend INNSiDE by Meliá Elounda to anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality holiday in Crete, and I would happily return. They make a very good Hugo !!"

Management can’t do enough for you, Tony greets you after a late flight with a beer and wine x then carries your cases to your apartment which are perfect. The pool area is exquisite especially since the refurb. But what makes this holiday is MARIA. She caters for all your needs during the day and will advise on the best restaurants and make your stay special x Maria is a gem and elounda suites are lucky to have her x"

"The location is amazing, the people working in the hotel are hospital, generous, incredible. George, the manager in the restaurant - he is sameone who will absolutely go extra miles to make guests happy. The villa itself has everything you need - starting from the kitchen appliances and utensils and finishing with the pool with salty water and wonderful view. The food is delicious and the nature is beautiful. Minuses: if you take full board - be ready that the menu in the restaurant is the same, it doesn’t change and the choice is limited. If you go for 3 days - it is fine, but If it is a week or more - you will be bored with the same food if not slightly irritated. George and the team will do everything to diversify your meals though. The beach - it is 15 minutes of drive by a comfy minimus. However the beach is small, the bottom is not pleasant at all, covered with stones. There are beautiful beaches at the Crete but without care it can be complicated to travel. The villa is amazing, although it is quite costly and, to be honest, needs some repairing works, particularly the bathrooms. It feels like the hotel needs a more committed senior management who would take good care of the hotel employees and the guests. Specials thanks to the employees of the hotel and to George in particular who love their motherland and are committed to what they do, for making our stay joyful. All the best!"

The room was impeccably cleaned every day, and every detail made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Natalia and Kostas, who are exceptional hosts. Their warmth, kindness, and personal attention to every guest make this place truly special. On my birthday, they surprised me with a bottle of wine and their thoughtful wishes, which made the day even more memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend Elounda Heights to anyone visiting Crete. It is a place filled with warmth, hospitality, and beautiful memories. We will definitely be back!"

"We enjoyed a week holiday here. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. Our children enjoyed the pools and slides. The food was ok but we were disappointed by the drink situation. At dinner there was only wine, beer or soft drinks available on tap and the beer and wine weren’t very nice. There seemed to only be the main bar open in the evening and there was limited seating outside and inside was set out like a canteen. There was also always a queue. Enjoyed the holiday overall."

Elounda Residence Resort & Waterpark
"We stayed at this resort from 16 July 2026 for six nights, and unfortunately our experience did not live up to our expectations. Our first impression was that the resort looked a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken to our room by golf buggy. We were fortunate to be allocated a room close to reception and the restaurant because this is a very large resort with lots of steep hills and many flights of steps. If you have mobility issues or struggle with walking, I would not recommend this resort. The room itself was comfortable and mostly clean, although one of the towels had a large yellow stain on it. One thing worth noting is that you cannot flush toilet paper, so all used tissue must be disposed of in a bathroom bin. The pool areas were mixed. The upper pool had green staining around the edges and what appeared to be some exposed sharp metal edging in places, which didn’t inspire confidence. The main pool was a decent size, and my son really enjoyed the water slides. However, the water was extremely salty, leaving salt residue on our skin, hair and swimwear, and it stung our eyes. Also, be prepared for a workout—there are 81 steps down to the pool, which also means 81 steps back up again. The biggest disappointment was the food and the handling of allergies. My children and I all have coeliac disease, and despite informing the hotel, we experienced repeated issues with cross-contamination. I personally suffered with a severe stomach upset for six of the six days we were there, and my son also became ill with stomach pain and vomiting. I personally witnessed the chef using the same tongs to handle gluten-containing chicken nuggets, then mixing gluten-free chips with those same tongs before returning to cook chicken that was also supposed to be gluten-free. I reported this to the restaurant manager, who unfortunately didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of the issue. We were then referred to the operations manager, who was extremely helpful and took the complaint seriously. Sadly, I later witnessed the chef cross-contaminating food again later in the week. Anyone with coeliac disease or serious food allergies should exercise extreme caution when eating here. Another incident that concerned us happened during breakfast one morning. Staff were mopping up what appeared to be sewage coming up through a drain in the middle of the restaurant floor. The smell was unpleasant, and towels had been placed on the floor to absorb the liquid while guests continued eating around the area. Shortly afterwards, maintenance staff lifted a floor tile and inserted a long pipe into another drain, apparently attempting to clear the blockage. I was later told they carried the pipe back through the dining area while people were still eating. In my opinion, the restaurant should have been closed temporarily for health and safety reasons, as sewage and food service simply should not mix. The staff throughout the resor"

"Lovely villa - exactly as advertised. Great sea views. Clean/large pool - did some proper swimming - villas fully booked but we had pool to ourselves much of the time. Sofia (manager) always contactable via WhatsApp if any issues - very “can do” attitude, so it didn’t matter that there was no reception/bar - it meant the place was really peaceful (no noisy music that you get when there’s a bar). Brunch on our large balcony with sea view everyday - no hurry to get out and about. Recommend villa no.4 for best sea views but villa 5 has more modern air con (ie remote control operated units on each floor, rather than centralised) Thanks for a lovely trip, Sofia and colleagues."

"We can't begin to say how nice of stay we had at Elounda Peninsula. Everything from the welcoming when we first arrived, to our great room, the service, cleanliness, and just overall friendliness of the staff. Maria our housekeeping service was excellent, and provided everything we needed from special pillows, to extra blanket, and bath accessories. The front desk staff (and I did not catch everyone's names) Natalie, Poppi, Manos, Stavroula, and all the rest, were so helpful and attentive. We stayed in a villa with a pool, and it was clean and the views from our outside lounge area was amazing. Breakfast ala carte was very nice as we are not big fans of buffets. We will definitely be back as we already miss swimming in the beautiful sea!"
Elounda Akti Olous (Adults Only)
"This was our first time staying in Elounda and Akti olous. The holiday got off to a brilliant start as we were upgraded to a junior suite with spectacular views! The room was comfortable clean, with good air conditioning kettle/coffee machine iron with ironing board and toiletries to use. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the massive balcony, which was just heaven. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and we ate it whilst sitting out by the sea, the staff are all pleasant and hard working and a special shout out to the barman who worked in the Sky bar as he made the best cocktails, we had a few cocktails at the bar before heading out again the views are spectacular! We spent a few afternoons relaxing on a lounger on the small beach area belonging to the hotel (the pool area seemed nice but we were never getting a lounger there unless up at the crack of dawn) which to be honest did not bother us. There is also a bar/restaurant next door, and you can use their loungers if you buy a drink. Akti olous is a small quieter hotel with a mainly older clientele which suited us fine it is a very pleasant walk in to Elounda with lots of restaurants and tavernas on the way, we had a lovely stay and I would definately return."

"This was our second visit to this hotel, we returned as we loved Elounda last year. This year we decided to upgrade our room to a superior room with a sea view. We finally got to the hotel at 3:30am, only to be told that our room was not ready due to a technical problem. We were given a very nice room but this was our first disappointment. Next morning we had a cold shower as there was no hot water and went for breakfast only to find there wasn’t any honey as they had run out. We were told our room number but is was still being cleaned so still no chance of settling in and unpacking, on checking the room we were allocated, it wasn’t what we were expecting. To be fair to the hotel, they changed our room to one in the separate block with the gorgeous full sea view we were expecting. The room was gorgeous, however the cleaning wasn’t the best (which is unusual) I had to wipe down the outside table with my face cloth, fir 3 days we didn’t have a bathroom floor mat and the door was left unlocked everyday following cleaning. The hotel is lovely, but there aren’t enough sun beds to provide one for everyone, also some people enjoying the pool weren’t actually staying at the hotel making sunbed problems worse, one group were also bringing their own alcohol to the poolside which went unchallenged. Later in the week the breakfast had no Greek yoghurt, they had run out if that as well The management at the hotel are attentive and nothing is too much trouble, it’s just a shame that small problems have mounted up on the week we were there"

"We stayed at Hotel Aristea in Elounda in June and had a really enjoyable and relaxing break overall. We booked a sea view room and it was absolutely worth it. The view across the bay each morning was stunning — sitting on the balcony watching the boats and the calm water was one of the highlights of our stay. The room itself was basic but clean and well maintained, however there was no tea making facilities, which fortunately didn't bother us. The only downside for us was the mattress, which we found a little uncomfortable. However, when we mentioned this to reception, they were very helpful and promptly provided extra bedding to make it more comfortable, which we really appreciated. It’s always reassuring when staff respond positively and try to resolve any issues quickly. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. There was only a small selection to choose from but the quality of the food was good. With a little more attention to presentation it could feel more special, but it certainly set us up well for the day. The location is where this hotel truly shines. It is perfectly positioned right on the waterfront, with restaurants, cafés and shops literally on the doorstep. This was particularly important for my mother who struggles with walking, as we didn’t need taxis or long strolls — everything was within a few steps, which made the whole holiday much more relaxed and accessible for her. Overall, Hotel Aristea offers excellent value in a beautiful setting. With its unbeatable location, stunning sea views and helpful staff, we had a lovely stay and would happily return to Elounda again."

"I recently spent a week in one of these studios. It was very clean and well equipped. It had great, fast WiFi, and the bed was super comfortable too! I was very pleased with the welcome gifts of fruit and sweets. The owner, Eleni was great at communicating and letting me know about entry as I had a very late arrival time, and it was lovely to meet her a couple of days after my arrival. The location of the studios was great, close to the seafront and village centre, with shops and cafes nearby. It was great value for money accommodation, which I would recommend."
