Definitely a B&B with a difference. Nice room, very comfy beds with a lot of tea and coffee in the room. Very quirky decorating: every wall was a different wallpaper which made it interesting. Very friendly staff, and a lovely large garden backing on a golf course so it was really quiet, with lots of birdsong from the mature trees on the property. A great breakfast, thought I think the owner forgot we were there on the first night as I had to use the cell phone provided to call him for breakfast as nothing was ready at 7:30. He was very apologetic, and breakfast was very good. The hotel is only about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town and the cathedral, and 17 minutes from the train station. There was plenty of free parking. My sister and I would definitely stay again.

This place really exceeded my expectations. I arrived in the evening, let myself in and got my keys to my room. It was small with a single bed and a private bathroom across the landing. I was initially a bit disappointed in that but it was so comfortable and well appointed it didn’t matter. The bed and lined was fabulously comfortable and it was spotless. It’s a lovely location and great for an early run. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff member very helpful. I did book a parking space and had a bit of an issue. If you do this and need the EV charger let them know in advance. It was not perfect for the reasons I mentioned but it was otherwise so good I’m still happy to give 5 stars

Great breakfast, beautiful rooms! Close to the Cathedral and schools nearby.

Hotel only 5 min walk from Cathedral so in the middle of town. Lovely hotel.room recently decorated and had iron, safe.hairdryer and coffee making facilities. Staff very friendly. We stayed 2 days and had evening meal there both days. Waitress,Tiffany ,makes a very good prawn cocktail.and was very friendly and helpful. The chefs blue steak was cooked properly, it was nice to find someone that knew how to cook a bluesteak. Over all very nice experience

The hotel in the old building of Ely, the location is very convenient. It is really painful to carry the suitcase without an elevator. I moved up and down for a few rounds. The children at home read to visit, and it is very convenient to live here. There are many local elderly people eating in the restaurant downstairs, and the environment is good. The room is old equipment and the door is opened with a key.
