The Stag Enfield

It’s not bad but it’s worth the price, just that there are touch ups to be made in the rooms and the bathroom. It’s its location is good and closer to the nearest bus station. Overall it’s not that bad it’s manageable.

I've stayed at The Stag a few times now. I like that's it above a pub. I love the quirky layout of the rooms. The host is friendly and funny. It's within walking distance of two overground trai. Stations. Plenty of places to eat a stones throw away. And great value for money. Will definitely stay again.

All good for a limited budget choice

During my stay at the hotel, I had a wonderful experience with the service provided. The staff members were extremely attentive and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist me throughout my stay. But this last in the hotel was very horrible, the room was like a prison room, no heater, bed was very small and the bathroom was on the third floor. it was a bad experience. Overall, my experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations except the last stay in the hotel. The exceptional service, well-maintained facilities, and convenient location made it a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable accommodation experience.

The rooms were compact , but more then adequate. I found the layout of the place quirky. My only grip was the mattress was too soft and there were only two pillows. Which were flat.

Used this as cheap option at £53 and going to football (Spurs) so convenient train a short walk (Enfield Town). Also used Tesco's carpark for overnight (used app Your Parking Space) Pub looked nice. The room was upstairs and ok. Clean bed and towels provided. It is the shower/bathroom that was poor and needs attention by the owners. Bathroom is run down. It is a small room with shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Broken ceramic toilet cistern (corner missing). Toilet seat broken and wobbly. The tiles/groat/silicone throughout were black, so not a great look or inviting. The shower head needed a deep clean (holes all black) and was too heavy for holder so flopped down and needed to be hand held to use.

We booked the stag, a double room with ensuite in October 2023 in our old home town @£76.95 . I was shocked and disappointed at the condition of the rooms and especially the small ensuite shower room. The shower room was dirty & VERY mouldy. The shower stall itself was mouldy with layers and layers of mouldy mastic obviously trying to stop leaks. We did not use the shower. The tiles on floor were chipped and badly broken in places. The toilet cistern was broken with bits missing and the toilet seat was broken and kept falling off. The walls looked dirty and badly painted, the tiny sink had no plug. It was the worst ensuite I have ever seen & had to use. The small bedroom had a dirty carpet , rotting windows frames full of mould and broken one was held shut with a nail & a ribbon. Blinds were dirty and falling apart,a rusty kettle two coffee sachets & sugar no tags or milk but the member of staff in bar did bring us t bags & milk when we asked.pillows terrible very thin,Plus bedding was clean, pity there was no mattress cover but the mattress was clean and comfortable. Paintwork in room looking very sad , needs a paint over to cover chips etc. we felt ripped off as price was just for the room & it was such a poor standard. Also music from pub below went on till 2am which I felt should have been mentioned at booking.
