The room was smaller than I thought.....................

Parking was more expensive than stated (pay in cash ) shower area was dirty had to tune tv into starions and remote not working

We turned up alot earlier than the time i had said but we were able to go straight to our room. Very secure with codes to all the doors inside and out. We met the owner Sue early afternoon and another lady she was with. They told us about some lovely restaurants around the area and there were plenty of places to eat. Sue is such a lovely welcoming lady and would go out of her way for you for anything. The room was very clean and tidy. The linen was fresh and that was all you could smell in the room which was nice. I would recommend this lodge to anybody who wants a nice clean safe place to stay. Check in was a fiasco, when we arrived there was no-one around so we ended up having to phone someone. We didn't get asked for any security details, were given the key code to get in & told our room key was in a plant pot!! Reception was 1 room & the bedrooms were in a completely building. Depite being advertised as a b&b, breakfast was not available. We only found this out when I called to ask about a vegetarian breakfast. The room was very basic & dated. The bathroom was a joke & was about 3ftx6ft . It had a sliding door which only opened about 1/3 of the way as it was broken. The shower had 1 temperature, scalding hot. There was a weird locked door in the room which we had no idea where it went, apart from seemingly the back of the church hall. It made us feel nervous that someone could potentially come in from that door without us knowing. Not worth £60, never mind £160.

We booked this hotel as it was the only one available in the area for an event we were attending. Check was terrible, no-one was in the reception & we had to call to get access. We were not asked any security questions & were given the code for the door & simply told our key was in a flowerpot!! Despite being advertised as a b&b, it was just the room. I only found this out when i called about needing a vegetarian breakfast. Whilst the room itself was bearable, the bathroom was horrendous. The sliding door didnt open properly so we had to squeeze in, the shower only had 1 temperature, absolutely boiling. The bathroom was no more than 3ft-6ft & felt incredibly cramped. The whole room felt very dated & run-down. The beds were relatively comfortable. We were glad we only had the room booked for one night. Definitely NOT worth £159!!!

It’s a hostel selling itself as a stop gap B&B. Advertised as a B&B that doesn’t do breakfast. I worry for your safety if you Stay here, luckily I was dragged up and not brought up, so unfortunately I am use to dumps like this in my earlier days. Just Awful.

It was a very last minute booking as our original hotel let us down when we arrived. Sue the manager couldn't help us enough a real gem of a lady. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. Sue was on hand to help and assist at all times and gave us her mobile number when we arrived so we could contact her if required.
