Thomas cook and Sotc both literally killed us by providing such hotel, where we have to walk long distance inside cave, then elevator then again walk in a cave then again walk some distance then elevator, saddest part is they give only one small trolley per fmly and we were 3 in a fmly so we literally had to drag our luggage this long distance, very frustrating and frightening experience for all 43 tourists in our coach. Thomas cook and Sotc are the culprits to choose such inconvenienent hotel. 3 nights were hell walking up and down to visit Mr. Titlis, Jungfraujoch etc. Such Tour operators discourage Tourists to visit again and are like back bitters for Tourism industry which are the backbone for any country, they play an important role of villain

Vreselijk!

The stay was perfect! They had a good breakfast, the view from the room was surreal, and you could get to downtown Engleberg by foot through a tunnel directly from the hotel! The hotel is so beautiful inside and out, it is clean, good parking, and a charming staff :))

This was our fifth time at the Hotel Terrace. The hotel dates back to the time of the large grand hotels and has been lovingly renovated in recent years. The new rooms are comfortable and visually very successful. But the combination offer with ski pass is actually unbeatable. A special gag is the elevator that leads from the parking lot directly down to the village, where you can easily take the ski bus to the valley station for free every 15 minutes. In the evening we recommend the gin bar - with 1,400 types of gin, everyone is sure to find something

Once you work out the lifts back into the village it is location is ok .The hotel rooms are decent size . All the staff were very helpful , polite and friendly. All the staff work hard but I just got the feeling that they make the best out of the budget limits that are put on them . needs a renovation .

Very disappointed with our stay in Engelberg. Nice hotel on the outside but that's about it. Only the cleanliness of the room, the bedding and the gin bar are good. Room located in the new wing. Small and without balcony. Nothing wow. Staff not necessarily welcoming and not even speaking the national languages. Breakfast barely good. The bread was fresh but that's it. No pastries. Do not eat there in the evening: all-you-can-eat buffet for CHF 49/person with a bottle of wine. A disaster. Nothing fresh, everything in a box and we don't even talk about the wine. Not possible to order even a coke on the side. Parking is paid. The spa (sauna only) also costs money. With a room costing almost CHF 300.-/night this is really unacceptable. In short, strongly discouraged
