I had a very nice week here recently. The room is basic …..a bed and a chair so don’t expect Caesar’s Palace. But I just slept here and the bed was comfy. Enjoyed the mini fridge and microwave. Perfect TV and Wi-Fi. Good tasting breakfast with very nice servers with smiles on their faces. Nice front desk staff who were super helpful. Just ten minutes from the action on the Strip. Quiet and comfortable and a good place to hang out at night after busy sightseeing days. Only four floors, so no need to walk a mile to your room. It was a perfect place for a week exploring the Strip.

Service is top notch! Amenities amazing! Staff was a pleasure to interact with! Spa massage was incredible! Pool and lazy river were clean and enjoyable!!

The service employees at the front desk were absolutely amazing the food as far as breakfast goes was absolutely hot delicious and very tasty a huge variety for any picky person I would highly suggest this property they go out of their way to make your stay a joy

We moved to Alberta from Ontario late last year and just got around to planning a holiday. Vegas is only a 20 hour drive from where we live and we have done Ontario to Florida before which is a similar distance so our plans were set. We have been to LV 4 times previously and the last 3 of those visits we stayed at the South Point. Decided to book it again this time, ignored all the negative reviews on TA as most of them seem to have been posted by people with no previous history on TA so they can be tossed out the window!! Arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping! Got checked in very quickly and asked and was given a room up on the 23rd floor facing out towards the mountains and out over the pool area. Got a double queen room that was immaculate. Beds were comfy and the room was spotless. Bathroom was a decent size with the shower and toilet separated by a door from the bathroom sink etc. My only complaint about Vegas hotels is that the tv channel selection in the room is usually atrocious, probably because they don't want you in the room watching tv !! But there were enough decent channels to keep us happy at the end of the night. When we checked in they asked us about house keeping but we just called down on the morning we wanted the room tidied up etc. and it was done. No hassle and just a quick 20 second phone call. We used the pool area quite a few days and the pool side bar service was excellent. The girls working out there were kept busy but were always friendly and by the end of the week recognised us and always had a chat. The pool area was very clean and we never had to look hard for a sun bed to relax on. Plenty of clean towels always available no matter the time of day we were down there. The hotel has 11 restaurants I believe. We used Steak and Shake a couple of times (still good), Baja Miguels on the first night (love the Margaritas along with everything else about the place!) Ate at Primarily Prime Rib on the Thursday and this is still a great place to have a decent cut of meat. No need to go on about our meals. The food was always perfect and the service superb. In our travels north and south we saw lots of signs up in restaurants and coffee shops advising they were hiring and apologising for delays etc. but it seems that the South Point is not struggling on that front. Always staff around to help etc. The one change for the better at the hotel is the addition of the Starbucks at the front entrance. If my memory serves me it used to be a Seattles Best coffee shop but Starbucks is far far better. Plenty of staff working the store and never a long wait even on the busiest of mornings. Another great part of the hotel is the Cinemark Movie Theatre. We saw 3 movies in our week at the hotel and its always great that you can just take an elevator down from your room and just walk up to the theatre. Nothing but issues from the first day. Chose my room online. Can’t get digital key. Front desk said they upgraded us and that’s why the key wouldn’t work. still no communication. Still no digital key after new room. Attitude from the girl at the desk as we did not want to give her our credit card as they have it on file as we were to have a digital key and for go the front desk. Manager came out and said they would give uss points. Went up to the room and it was an assessable room. Bed was pushed up almost at the window. Could not walk around. Bathroom had no place to hang your towels or a hair dryer. Needed to stay another night and the girl at the desk Andrea was more than helpful. Came back the next day and housekeeping was in our room even though we had out a do not disturb door hanger. I bring my own as some properties don’t have these and it is respected. Housekeeping threw it in the garbage and didn’t understand what it was. Called down and talked to someone that said they were a manager and the other one wasn’t there. She said we didn’t tell them at the desk we didn’t want housekeeping and so it was our fault. The general manager called a couple minutes later and seemed annoyed at us but apologized. I know this is a new property and only open a month and we expect a couple hiccups. But this was a really bad first impression. They agreed staff needs more training and I agree. They don’t have everything in place to be fully functional yet and it shows.

The location is slightly but very quiet. There is a small swimming pool at the entrance of the hotel. Children can swim until 11:00, towels are free to use, coffee in the lobby, lemonade, casual drink, American breakfast is very rich with apples, the front desk is very enthusiastic, there are people in the middle of the night. Parking is free, there is a pizza shop 200 meters walk from the door, the pizza is delicious, and there is a Burger King and it is cheap. Note that the address given on Ctrip is not accurate and should be opened 200 meters further east.

We've stayed at several of their properties over the years, including this one almost 15 years ago when we got married. As others have mentioned, calling it a ”resort” might be a bit excessive, but it's a clean, quiet place to stay near enough to the strip for convenience but distant enough to avoid the noise and traffic. Our room was VERY clean and the front desk was extremely responsive to the only need we had on arrival. Big plus: no superfluous wifi fees, and no timeshare sales pitch! Climate control was a bit noisy but was very effective. The trees in the development across the fence from our room had many trees; listening to the birds over our morning caffeine was a definite plus. However... The room was rather dim and had zero ceiling lights? There was a new washer/dryer in the unit that worked well, but the closet it was placed in was too small to accommodate it so the door couldn't be closed and partially blocked the hallway. C'mon folks, take 2 minutes and just remove the door, it can't be used as a door anyway. The free wifi? Unsecured, and so slow that even Facebook had trouble loading. Ended up using our cellular data instead. The kitchen was nice, but was only stocked with enough pots/utensils/etc. for a single meal for two. We'd stay again because of the very convenient location and because there's always inventory available in the exchange pool, but if we were paying we might look elsewhere.
