This hotel was in a great location with easy parking, either on the street for free or in the hotel car park for a charge. Our room was quiet and spacious, staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is located in a complex with charitable institutions, quite close to the A40. My room was very tidy, clean and a reasonable size, as was the bathroom. There is a kettle and air conditioning in the room, but unfortunately no small fridge/minibar. Parking is available, which costs €15 per night in the hotel car park. The breakfast is very good. The WiFi was a bit bad one day, but otherwise worked well. I was particularly impressed by the extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very clean and new. Open showers are not my thing, but it's a good solution. The hotel is easy to reach by tram, but there are also plenty of parking spaces. There are two restaurants nearby. We had a very good meal at the Italian restaurant Da Danilo on recommendation. The price/performance ratio is reasonable. We would be happy to come back.

WHEELCHAIR USER. Modern architecture. Exemplary adapted room and bathroom for the disabled. The receptionists spoke fluent English. Free and reserved parking right in front of the hotel. Full breakfast buffet. My wife asked if she could get a 'softer' mattress (back pain) and they brought a 'top deck mattress'. (Thank you) There is a bar, which apparently doesn't attract much crowd. And moreover, it does not immediately exude a sense of coziness. Excellent and free WiFi. Pleasant and exceptionally quiet air conditioning... It's been a long time since we found a copy of the New Testament in a hotel room... And couldn't there really be a small refrigerator in the room? 4 stars and 135 euros/night. The hotel also has a 'social' policy. A number of employees are disabled persons. There is certainly nothing in the area that can be linked to 'nightlife'. You have to go to the city center...10 minutes by car (without traffic jam) Drive to Kennedyplatz...(center)

I stayed just one night at 'Hotel Franz' in Essen when visiting the town on business. Hotel Franz ticked all the boxes I needed... Location was good to my client and also the Autobahn. It was clean and comfortable, there was free on-site parking, WiFi included and 24 hour reception. I had a non-smoking double room (room 203) which was modern and fresh. The cost was €80 for the night without breakfast. The hotel checked my Covid vaccination status and hand gel was freely available and masks had to be worn in public areas of the hotel. I would stay here again.
