Hotel Ambassador Essen ★★★
"The ground was wet."
Schlosshotel Hugenpoet ★★★★★
"Best rum steak ever eaten - good atmosphere - very friendly service - the menu is unusual - the food is worth the money - we will be back - asparagus season is already very good in March - good champagne - attentive but not intrusive."
Spark by Hilton Essen City Centre ★★★★
"It was just for relaxation, but the annoying thing was the TV kept turning off and the AC didn't work. Well, maybe that was just for that day."
Sheraton Essen Hotel ★★★★
"Overall, we were satisfied. Unfortunately, the bar was lacking in the evenings. Nevertheless, we would come back."
Garner Hotel ESSEN - HANDELSHOF by IHG ★★★★
"Clean rooms. Very close to the metro. Centrally located hotel. Good breakfast."
Atlantic Congress Hotel Essen ★★★★
"The location is excellent. The room is large and well-equipped. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is not very good. I was woken up by the sound of the door closing next door in the morning and the floor felt a little shaken."
Hotel Essener Hof, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western ★★★★
"The room is very good and the service is friendly. The location is excellent and convenient for travel, close to the train station."
Ramada by Wyndham Essen ★★★★
"Amazing experience"
B&B HOTEL Essen-City ★★
"Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this hotel. I was under the impression that their hotel cost 65 euros per night. Unfortunately, upon arrival, it turned out that we had to pay 95 euros. If the facilities were in order, I would have accepted that. However, it turned out that the hot water did not work during our entire stay. Additionally, there was no possibility for breakfast that morning. I made several attempts to contact the hotel. After a few attempts, I received a response. The option offered was a refund of 9 euros. I found this to be very inadequate. I am dissatisfied with my experience at the hotel, as well as with how complaints are handled afterward."

Flowers Hotel Essen
"Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view from the chair and also from the rooms. Rooms and bathrooms large and beautiful and the location very good. Booked without breakfast but the hotel I can recommend in any case."
JustStay Essen Hotel & Apartments
"Clean, modern, tidy rooms! Check in was really easy. Had a great stay for a good price! I surely recommend this hotel!"
B&B HOTEL Essen-Hbf
"Room is simple but good enough. Receptionists are also extra nice and helpful."
Hotel am Brinkerplatz
"This hotel is very nice and well maintained. The facilities are not fashionable but very practical. Everything is spacious and very friendly service. Parking in garage around the corner with discount card of the hotel. Breakfast buffet is thick in order."
Premier Inn Essen City
"The room was very clean and it was very convenient to go anywhere! There is a park opposite the hotel and the environment is very good! But there are two Premier Inns in Essen, this one is slightly outside, and the other is a city hotel (near the station). I almost stayed in the wrong place!"
Mintrops Concierge Hotel
"All right, I'd like to go back."
Hotel Friends Essen Zeche Zollverein
"We booked this hotel as part of a road trip to the artic circle. The room was booked a couple of months before. We have emails from the hotel stating clearly our reservation was GUARANTEED. The email states that twice. 48 before arrival the hotel emailed to tell us that they were exercising a clause in their T&C that enables them to cancel a guaranteed reservation and cancelled our reservation. Don’t book this hotel if you rely on guaranteed reservations."
Holiday Inn - the niu, COBBLES ESSEN by IHG
"It is one stop away from the main train station. The guy at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. He let me check in early. The breakfast was a little less, but I was very satisfied with everything else."
Webers Hotel im Ruhrturm Essen by Accor
"It was a good offer. It has already come into the days, but clean and OK."
DORMERO Hotel Essen
"Good attention and good breakfast too. A little bit old in my opinion but would go again if possible. Soft bed and pillows . Lucky to have a refrigerator. Did not the bathroom, kind of old and dark. Internet was fine. Stairs on corridor made difficult to go with a heavy luggage ."
Hotel Franz
"all staff are very supportive and smiling ."
Mintrops Stadt Hotel Margarethenhöhe
"Everything was very good, except it was extremely loud at breakfast; I would have liked more privacy."
Hotel Das Lola
"We came to stay at this hotel over the weekend and we came for work. Truly we believed it’s not a 4 star. It is a 3 star. Reception is only open from 7am till 3pm. We arrived late, so there was no receptionist, our room was clean but the sink was so blocked that it wasn’t possible to properly use it at all, not even to brush the teeth cause the water would come to the floor. The next day in the morning I went and asked a receptionist to unblock the silk. Seemed like or she didn’t care or she didn’t speak English well. She didn’t even say she’s sorry that in a 4 star hotel the water comes on the floor if we use a sink. After we left to work all day and when we came back in the evening - nothing was fixed. Sink is the same very much blocked and receptionist is gone. I’d not recommend and not come back. Had to brush my teeth with a water bootle. Also there is only one pillow and house keeping just turned off the heating so it’s freezing cold when we come back, instead of giving fresh towels, bath mat (they forgot once again to give us a bath mat) or toilet paper. Honestly this hotel is not worth the money at all."
Mintrops Land Hotel Burgaltendorf
"Great Hotel, great restaurant. The waiter really makes every evening special, an excellent host. Nice rooms, dog friendly, great for children. A lot of room to play around or to play in the pool..The staff goes beyond what you may expect to give you a great time. We will be back for a third time real soon:)"
