YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park

Arrived at the hotel late & it was raining. The property was excellent. We were assigned to our room that can accommodate 6 people. It was just an over night stay but still we enjoyed it. We were able to see a wapiti and it was the biggest i have see so far. Thank you YMCA for the great experience.

We stayed in the Ram Horn Lodge, and there wasn't any coffee that wasn't decaf in our room, so we looked in the common area to restock our room with regular coffee, but there was only decaf there, too.

First time staying here. This is a huge complex with several lodge buildings and a variety of cabins. Most importantly the huge family reunion cabins. The setting is beautiful, with mountain views all around. We booked a lodge room originally but on arrival we're told the lodge is under renovation so got upgraded to a 3-bedroom cabin which is great although we don't really need all that space, but the upside is we are within walking distance to our family reunion cabin which is a definite plus. The cabin in the woods is really nice, spacious living/dining/kitchen area, large picture windows, front and back porches, clean and all the furnishings look to be in good condition. No aircon but heat works well which is important as there was a snow storm while we were there at the end of April. Apparently the storm caused some of the cabins to lose power and heat but ours was ok. Wifi is spotty - not sure if it's also due to the storm but it didn't work half the time we were there. Check in could take a while, and certainly not having any prior communication regarding our lodge not being available could have been a problem - the lodges are near restaurants (in case you don't have a car could be an issue) while the cabins are not. But despite some of the service issues I really like the place and will go back when visiting the Rockies again.

Beautiful views and clean place to stay.

There was so much to do, and we had a ton of fun staying for a long weekend. The room was clean and quiet. (Besides or kiddo). There is no TV in the room which was fine with us. We brought a laptop to watch a show or two. We ended up being in a huge lodge with only one other room being used. I just kept hoping the other guests were on the other side. Mostly because the walls did seem thin, and we didn't want them to be disturbed. Overall we had a good stay and plan to stay again.

Campfire in an outdoor fire ring, spectacular mountains, perfect little cabin with spotless kitchen and bath and brand new comfy bed linens and comforters, amazingly nice and competent staff--this place is heaven! We were on a springtime trip to relax and restore. Could not have been happier! Nina

If you want a unique experience for your family and friends, the YMCA of the Rockies In Estes Park, Co. It has the feel of a small town which is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Rocky Mountains. When you stay at the Y many activities are available for you and your family. They are summer concerts in July. We love going to the church services, participating in many of their programs such as hikes to Bible Point, concerts, and lectures. The Y has a kid’s camp that is offered for a small fee that our grandchildren always enjoyed. Our family has enjoyed the free hiking program at the Y. Your hike-masters are highly trained and provide you with a beautiful experience seeing the mountains and lakes. They are many hiking levels available for everyone. We have been bringing our family to the YMCA of the Rockies for over 13 years. I highly recommend the YMCA of the Rockies to all. You can check it out by going to This website….YMCA rockies.org. Needs some upgrades in the rooms needs new updated toilets never stayed at a place where there was no tvs the view was awesome close to park and town if I stayed there again would look at renting the cabins instead of hotel rooms

Great stay for our family of five. We will come in summer again!
