We chose this hotel because of its proximity to an event we were attending and the availability of a two queen room with sofa sleeper which is hard to find to accommodate a family of 5. We were grateful to only be spending one night here. When we stepped off the elevator on our floor, we were overwhelmed by the smell of **** and the noise coming from room 315. Groups of people sitting in the hallways outside of their rooms and couples arguing… we weren’t sure what we might encounter but the night ended up being uneventful, thank goodness. While the sheets looked clean and the bedding was comfortable, the room was dirty. Sticky tile floors and a large wet spot on the carpet. Ramen noodles still on a wall??? Tortilla chips on the windowsill. Not even sure how that happens. Better housekeeping is a must for sure! Not enough towels even though our booking was for 5. Breakfast was okay and the staff was friendly. Another positive- it’s right across from the police station so that made us feel like our car might be a little safer in the unsecured lot.

It is very close to the airport, a little more than walking distance, and it costs 30 dollars for Uber to come here in the early morning. The hotel is equipped with a special car to send you to the airport, at midnight on the hour, and during the day when it is busy, it is basically half an hour. Sleeping conditions are good. Pay attention to the shower head to the bottom, which is basically a 360-degree opening range. Praise!

It's fine for where and what it is. Unfortunately I waited forever at the airport for the shuttle and it never came so I had to hop on a neighboring hotel's shuttle and then walk over. BECAUSE I GUESS THE SHUTTLE DRIVER NEEDED HIS AFTERNOON NAP.

Breakfast is normal, basic style, you can eat, there is parking space, the room is large, suitable for the whole family to travel, but you must drive yourself, it is convenient, go to each shoppingmall, the restaurant is not far!

The hotel restaurant (Chicago 2875) has the best breakfast in the area. The one that’s included in the room rate is made to order and has good options and delicious food, good service. The hotel bar and restaurant stay open late for business travelers which is great and a big advantage over other hotels in the area like the Hilton Northbrook across the street which rolls up the sidewalks around 7:45 pm (pitiful). Importantly, showers are good and don’t overly restrict water flow. Room was plenty large with lots of outlets. This was a business stay. I’ve stayed in most area hotels this year: Staybridge Suites Glennview (no housekeeping for stays less than a week!, trash everywhere) Hyatt Deerfield (good), Embassy Suites Northshore Deerfield (happy hour is good), Marriott Suites Deerfield (ok but pretty dated). My only caution here at Crowne plaza is that you should be sure to request daily housekeeping or you won’t receive it. But it was always done if I asked for it. Will definitely be back.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at in the U.S. I've stayed at this hostel twice now. The first time was in 2015 and the second time this past month for Market Days. Location: The hostel is centrally located in Downtown Chicago/the Loop. It's easily accessible to get to and from O'Hare Airport via the Blue Line which runs 24 hours. The closest CTA station is Jackson Station which also has connections to many other CTA lines. The hostel is also located within walking distance to many other tourist hotspots like Millennium Park, Broadway shows, Lou Malnati's Pizza (10 minutes), etc. There's also a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of the street that sells liquor and other essentials. On the weekday, the area is bustling with downtown workers, but on the weekends, it's like a ghost town. Most restaurants and stores close by 8/9pm. The only place to eat at if you have a late night is Taco Bell which closes at 2am. Another downside is that there are a lot of homeless people that have set up camp in front and around the hostel, so some people may feel unsafe walking around. Security: The property is very secure. There are multiple entry points to get into the hostel with a key card. There's another entry point to get access to the elevator banks that lead to the rooms as well as required card access to go upstairs and into the rooms. There's also a 24-hour front desk. This was a saving grace for me because my flight from New York was delayed that I ended up arriving at 3:30am. Keep in mind, if you plan to arrive after 3am, you should notify/call the front desk and let them know otherwise they'll mark you as a no-show and cancel your reservation. They also have storage lockers/a luggage room for a fee. Facilities/Amenities: My original reservation was for a 4-bed male dormitory, but there was someone sleeping in my assigned bunk. When you arrive, there is a fitted sheet, pillow sheets, a bath towel, and a face towel (no comforter). You are expected to make your bed. Since I arrived so late and my roommates were already asleep, the overnight staff (DJ) was nice enough to put me in an 8-bed dormitory that was unoccupied, so that I didn't wake up anyone. Both rooms were very spacious/high ceilings/massive windows with a lot of space to store luggage and walk around. All the rooms have lockers (bring your own lock or buy one at the front desk). In the 4-bed dorm, there is a common area with a kitchen/bathroom that connects with 2 suites. The 8-bed room is setup where the toilet, shower, and sink are all in separate areas instead of all in one room. The shower area has dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There are also common showers and toilets on every floor. The downside of the dormitory is that you can't control the temperature of the room. I have stayed at Four Points on multiple occasions over the last few years before my most recent stay there this past weekend, hence why I booked here for my partner’s and mine’s little weekend getaway to the city. I also booked here knowing they offered gated/secure parking for those not using vehicles on during their stay (I.e. “the park and fly”) When booking I had questioned whether we could park our vehicle on site in the secure area knowing that our time of arrival was going to be far prior to check in time. I got the okay to my parking question when speaking to the front desk, so we booked! Upon arrival, I had to ask the front desk twice for the gate code to the secure parking as our first encounter they only gave us our parking pass but did not include the parking code. We dodged pot holes throughout the general parking area as well as the secure parking area which was less than ideal. Ultimately though we were able to park our vehicle, order our Uber and get to our destination on time. Fast forward a few hours I was able to check into our room on the app, which was nice given we were 45 minutes - an hour away from the hotel for the day. We finally arrived to our room later that evening and we’re able to get our rooms keys and get our things from our vehicle to bring up to the room. Upon re-entering the building from the secure parking area, we both swiped our room keys on the building door to enter to no avail. Prior to turning around and almost walking through the vehicle gate drive through and around the building to the front door, my partner pulled on the building door and came to the realization the door was never locked (big yikes!) so anyone hotel guest or not if able to get into the parking area had unlimited access to the interior of the hotel. That in itself made use feel uneasy. We used the room for solely sleeping in a bed and getting ready/showering for the next day of our trip. We arrived on a Friday and stayed through Monday morning (3 night stay in total). Each and every morning when I woke up, I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why I waking up completely congested and itchy face, eyes, throat, etc. Sunday morning I made a very uncomfortable discovery…. Our entire hotel room was LITTERED with mold growing out of any crevice in the room. The bathroom door frame was completed surrounded by mold growth (see photos) and we found evidence of peeling wallpaper near the patio door with mold growing up the wall where the door/window meets the wall. The only thing I’m allergic to is mold so it all started to add up in why I was feeling so miserable every morning after sleeping here night after night during our stay. In addition to looking for more evidence of this untimely discovery we came across uncovered wires, loose and/or broken outlets in our room (adding to a few more safety hazards of our stay). While the front desk personnel did document my concerns upon checkout, I do not recommend anyone to stay with Four Point
