Unfortunately my recent stay did not live up to my expectations having stayed with Premier Inn in the past. The room smelt damp, the fittings and decoration were tired, the carpet stained and there were dusty areas needing a wipe down. The breakfast was disappointing with broken toasters and no fresh orange juice. I was charged for parking despite the description suggesting that the hotel has free parking. All in all a disappointing stay.

Aircon was so loud and only blew warm air. Fire alarm sounded for 15 minutes at 1:30am evacuating the hotel, then got sent back inside without a reason for false alarm or apology for taking so long to sort it out. Staff weren’t anywhere to be seen at checkout and had to pay for the car park even though the hotels next to the motorway and has its own car park!

Give this place three stars, 2 stars deducted is for the Brewers fayre restaurant as the hotel us very good, I’m surprised Brewers Fayre is still trading, let’s the Premier inn name down badly, had a meal deal, food is well below average, slow service, Luke warm dinners badly cooked, think the staff in the kitchen were more interested in listening to the radio and having a laugh rather then giving good service, the breakfast is terrible, cold food, over cooked, not everything on the menu available, juice is just flavoured water, toasters take an age to work, very disappointed, Premier inn need too sort Brewers Fayre or drop them.

We stayed here last night for our wedding evening. We arrived at 3 to a welcome from Samantha. Everything went smoothly. Room was nice, we had a superior room. Very comfortable. We had a nice surprise when Samantha brought us a bottle of wine to congratulate us on our wedding. Slept well and had a great breakfast at the Brewers fayre next door. Check out was easy.

An enjoyable experience. We had requested an early book in if possible and although we weren't able to get into our room (we had requested a particular room) straight away Amanda and the housekeeping team worked hard to ensure that as soon as the previous guests had left our room was prepared as quickly as possible for us. As always the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable with extra pillows in the room if desired and Amanda and the rest of the team were very helpful from start to finish. We are fans of Premier Inns and this one is one of of our favourites. We like having the Brewers Fayre next door to the Hotel too - so convenient.

Lovely friendly welcome. The most helpful staff I think I’ve met at a Premier Inn. Room was clean and a great temperature. Appreciated the little hints for recycling in the room. Most needed and positive way forward for the company. We should all be thinking about this even when on a break. Very refreshing

Stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 3, room clean and comfortable no problems at all, we where in the annex room 203, with just a short walk down the path there was a miller and Carter pub to the back of us. We popped over during our stay for a drink. We travelled to dawlish and Taunton and Wellington while staying here, this was a great place to stay for our short break.

Good stay at the Premier Inn, this time in a Prem Plus room, first time we'd tried one. It is a nice upgrade, nothing outstanding but hopefully all PI rooms will be updated to this standard. Staff were friendly, service good. Only gripe is Ultimate Wifi code only gave access for one device, also Smart TV's fitted but no apps installed, and seem aligned to Samsung/Android phones for screen mirroring so to watch sport or iplayer etc. Need to use Firestick etc.
